Visited 5 – 12 April 2017 After being driven to a few hotels, by my airport transport, before arriving at the Sun Beach I was immediately impressed by their entrance and happy with my decision to stay there. Accommodation is in a group of terraced rooms, some which overlook the sea and some which overlook the pool. The windows on...

Have just returned (14-24 March) from the most wonderful trip, first time visit, to The Gambia. It was absolutely amazing in every way. The Sun Beach Hotel, newly-refurbished, could not have been better with the staff being the 'Jewel in the Crown'. All inclusive is great with lots of choice, English and Gambian, not a burger or piece of pizza...

Nice room, great location, amenities were okay-ish (bring your own shampoo and shower gel - the ones they provide aren't great). Pool and beach are just lovely, but there is quite a bit of litter on the beach. I hope they clean this up because its idyllic otherwise. I LOVED the monkey park. Food was also lovely but could get...

The hotel only has 100 rooms which is ideal if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday. We were in room 101 which was the furthest away from the main hotel and it was still only a couple of minutes walk to get to the reception area. There was only a couple of children there (both under 5) so I...

We stayed a week in this all-inclusive hotel. The food was good and there was enough variation during our stay even for us vegetarians. Also Gambian specialties were served. The service was always very friendly and every member of the staff loved to have a chat. The hotel area was secured by multiple guards that patrolled day and night. Sun...

We were a little apprehensive about our trip to The Gambia because of the political unrest before we came. We needn't have worried! Everything was quite settled and the Gambian people were so pleased to see us. We found the Sunbeach Hotel very satisfactory. The staff were always ready to assist if we needed anything. The food was pretty good...

Gambia provides winter sunshine, and the Sunbeach gives you this in the perfect location with wonderful staff. The public areas have been refurbished and are good. The rooms and beds are good but the bathrooms are grubby, we had problems with the cold water supplies and drainage from the shower was poor. It wasn't that things were so bad; but...
