Rocking Horse Ranch was so close to SI. It is a very convenient place to go for a weekend or longer stay . They have plenty of activities to keep you and the kids busy . They have plenty of places to relax and rest . The food is great and so was the service I would recommend

We came here with 10 of our family members. We are staying for three nights. The whole staff is exceptional. The entire place is very clean. There is always a staff member available at any time. It’s a great place to be with family. Tonight (Saturday) our dinner waitress (Khali)

There are so many choices of things to do at Rocking Horse Ranch! My kids loved the snow tubing and ice skating. Food was good, lunch didn’t have many choices to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Highly recommend RHR, we had a wonderful time. From horseback riding, to tubing, to skiing, to ice skating, to shooting, to eating, to swimming, to entertainment, this resort has it all. Top notch service in a family friendly, absolutely spotless atmosphere!

Everyone had a lot of fun. The staff were all friendly and said hello to everyone they past. The food was excellent and plentiful. The one suggestion we turned in was closed circuit TV for those with children can still see the shows when the young children are to be asleep.

Is this for all ages, I have a 17 and 14 year old, are they too old?
That would be the max age for them. The horse back riding is great, indoor pool is nice but small, food is great, We took our 7 yr old grandson and he was busy doing thing all day. My 22 yr old daughter came along and she enjoyed the riding etc. The evening entertainment was good but geared to 12 & under in my opinion

I stayed in Oklahoma on a girls winter weekend. It’s a few steps to the main lodge. I stayed in the main lodge this summer. We were 8 adults and kids. It was convenient but the activities are all over the property so it really doesn’t matter. Hope this helps. Bottom line is it’s a great place!

We stayed two nights, which I think was plenty. I'm not sure when you're going but the two times we were there it was Spring. We arrived mid-morning the first day of our stay. The ranch holds your bags while you can enjoy all the facilities. (They'll text you when the room is ready.) We wanted to swim so I packed swimming suits separately so we could enjoy the pool. Locker rooms are below the indoor pool. We had a great time....for my daughter and me: no cooking! for the kids so many activities! There are the usual "game rooms" and a couple of activities that are available for a nominal fee. We handled it by giving each child a reasonable amount of money so they could enjoy some of those. The only other thing...if you are in the main lodge and a light sleeper you might want to consider an upstairs room. We were below and 1 night was fine but the next night we had to call the front desk to make them aware of the problem. great time. Everyone except one grumpy teen who must have been having a bad day was helpful, courteous and friendly. Last thing...lunch is included on your last day but you need to check out. Again we packed what we needed for the day separately and left later in the afternoon. Enjoy!

What will the activities that continue to run during Christmas period ?
I am also not sure on specific Christmas time activities but we went in February and they made snow for tubing and skiing. They also have an indoor play area. We stayed two nights and definitively did not do all the activities offered.

RHR is terrific. A huge part of it is the horseback riding. I would look somewhere else that offers amenities you can use.

"We liked staying in the main lodge during the cold weather so that we didn't need coats to attend the events and pool."
"Stay in the Main Lodge for access to the pool, dining room, arcade, and rooms where all the events/shows take place. 2nd floor is quieter!"
"book early for the best rates.."
"Staying in Oklahoma was a good idea - away from the noise of the main building, which helped our autistic son."
"Main Lodge is close to everything which great in the winter."
