I spent 1 night at the Greenporter this past weekend after a day of tasting wine on the North Fork. It is certainly convenient to North Fork at the end of your day, and in great walking distance to a ton of great spots in Greenport. The check in was lovely and the overall amenities in terms of restaurant, breakfast,... More

The Greenporter Hotel offers the best value for your money on the North Fork and all you need to do is shop around to verify that. If you are looking for even further value, explore our weekday rates. Our rates are 20% to 50% less than most inns and B&Bs in the area for comparable lodging and services. Not only... More

I read pretty mixed reviews on here about the Greenporter with some people saying it was great with amazing service and sleek decor, to others saying it was a cheap motel. I agree with the latter. If you're looking to stay at a redone motel that knows SERVICE, check out the Roxbury in upstate NY. The Greenporter looks like it... More

The original building of The Greenporter Hotel was a 1950's-style motor lodge that was renovated in the style of that era. The new additions to the property are the restaurant and bar, the pool and hot tub, as well as an additional 20 rooms also designed in the same retro minimalistic style and completed in 2004. This expansion was made... More

We expected this hotel to be short on frills yet long on sleeping comfort and convenience. We did not expect the excellent service. We checked in on a Sunday night and found one of the windows jammed open on one side (probably no one could break in) and the draw-shade anchor broken. We reported it, primarily so that the last... My friend and I checked in and ended up extending our stay for several days because of the amazing experience we had here. The front desk staff was always available, courteous, and helpful, assisting us with getting transportation to and from distant restaurants, showing us how to use the cable television, and even retrieving some hypoallergenic detergent from their laundry... My girlfriend and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and had a good time visiting the area. Pluses: Parking is ample, and downtown is within walking distance (as is the ferry to Shelter Island and the LIRR stop, if you need it); the staff were very friendly and helpful; the continental breakfast was delicious and filling. Minuses: The motel... More

The Greenporter Hotel was designed in a retro 50s style as the original building was a motor lodge. The design including the fencing and furnishings are representative of that era which is appealing to our guests from all socio-economic backgrounds. Management built a new wing in the same 50s style and added a heated pool with lap lane, a hot... More

My husband, sister and brother in law and I went to the vineyards for a weekend getaway. Having never been to the Greenporter before, we did not know what to expect. After a full day at the wineries, we checked in to the hotel and could not have been more impressed. The front desk was helpful and accommodating and the... More

My Fiance and I wanted to visit many of the wineries in the area and have a nice, clean hotel to stay at after a long day. We arrived a bit early, prior to normal check in time, but were given the key to our room without hesitation. The room was clean and yes, a bit minimal but we weren't... More

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Greenporter Hotel. From check-in to check-out the staff made us feel like they were really glad we were there. The restaurant, a cute little bistro, adjoins the hotel. The food and service are impeccable. But again, I can't stress the overall feel of this place. It is cemented on our... More

We have been staying at the Greenporter for the last 5 years for their Valentine's Weekend Special. Four years ago my step-daughter and her partner joined us and this past year friends also joined us. We love this trip, the wineries, the food but most of all we love the rooms. The beds, pillows bedding-the best sleep ever. I have... More
