A Safari in the Rainy season? You bet! Spent 6 nights at 2 different Safari Camp Concessions. Wilderness Safari’s Davison Camp rated personally better than African Safari’s Somalisa Camp simply because the volume and different types of animal sightings was dramatically better at Davison due to Wilderness Safaris having two concession areas with double the acreage to roam and find...

We visited Davison's Camp from 7th - 11th Nov 2016. The entire trip was well organised and all connections and transfers were perfect (MAPLANGA AFRICA GROUP ,JEANNE ) The accommodation in the luxury tents was excellent bearing in mind the remote locality in the Hwange National Park. The tents have a Power socket near the bedside to charge mobiles /...

My fiancee and I stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days in August, 2016. It was quite a trek for us to reach the camp (we're from the U.S.) but the good news is that the safari starts on the ride from the airstrip. Our guide, Temba, was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and most importantly,...

My third safari in Africa and my first tented safari. Hard to describe what it was like. First of all, it was luxurious in every way. Each raised tent had full bathroom with all amenities, comfortable beds, etc. The food and service could not have been better. But what made this amazing was the people and the animals. The people...

We had been on safari previously, but this was our first time staying within a park itself. The camp is set up with nine permanent tents. They are nicely appointed and the dining area and lounge are inviting and help create a family atmosphere. About a hundred yards from the camp is a water hole that attracts a multitude of...

Dear Tom W, Thank you for your wonderful review and high recommendation. We are however sorry to see the wildlife were not so easy to track down as some others, however, it is often the adventure in tracking down the animals that makes the game drives that much better in the end. We hope this was the experience you had....

This is a small camp (nine, I believe, very comfortable "permanent" tents), so the number of lodgers at any particular time are few. As most evening meals, at least, are served at one large, beautifully-appointed communal table, this provides a great opportunity to get to know fellow guests and share experiences about the days' drives. The staff is top-notch. The...
