should be called Americas WORST! literally so outdated and very poorly “cleaned”. Front desk was rude and the owners constantly knocked on our door for no reason but to ask us how the room was. very annoying. ALSO you can hear everything in the next room over. EVERYTHING! we were in a non-smoking room (236) and everything smelled like cigarettes. Do yourself a favor, and spend a little extra to stay somewhere else. Literally walked in and immediately called around to other hotels.

The room was large but did smell a bit smoky, though it was a non-smoking room. The walls are extremely thin and the neighbors a bit noisy. The overall cleanliness was mediocre. We slept okay on a mattress that sloped into the middle. We did have a decent shower and bathroom, which is something.

If you're travelling with a pet, the "pet fee may apply" is a bit inaccurate. It absolutely does apply and it's $25 per night. My dog stayed in his crate, we were there 3 nights, gone all day, just there in the evening, I left the room spotless, but the fee is a rigid fee. Yet, people smoke all over the property and it blows into the AC vents from outside plus there is smoke and incense (trying to hide the smoke) in the building. Staff are very nice and seem to really try but the rules are too lenient re: smoking and too rigid re: pets. An extra 75 for my spotless dog was unfair. Usually a "pet fee may apply" when I book (I do this a lot) means there may be a charge if extra cleaning or sometimes means a one time fee for cleaning upon check out. Had the extra 25/night been stated upfront, other hotels would have been in the same price range and considered. Including newer ones without smoke.

I had LOW expectations when I arrived after reading the previous reviews. Many of the things stated in previous reviews were untrue. I had a completely peaceful nights sleep unbothered by anyone or any noises. In fact is was silent throughout the night. Was the room dated and old, yes. Was it the worst room I have ever stayed in, no. The sheets and bathroom were both clean, and the AC worked well.

Here is the bottom line, it seems the people who run this place are making the best of what they can. They took over a run down hotel and are making it somewhat less run down. Will I book another stay if there are other option available, no. This was my only last minute option in Geneva and for one night it was acceptable, a little pricey for what it is, but like I said it was a last minute option.

Friendly staff and convenient location. Great sized room and very clean. The only complaint was the hallways weren't clean but to be fair it was a rainy night. The parking lot was seemingly shared with neighbor businesses but not bad. Would go back

Please do NOT stay here. . My daughter is a freshman at nearby Hobart and William Smilth college and asked us to come up for a quick visit and bring a few items to her from home. We tried to stay at other hotels, but this was the only one available since it was a last minute trip. We were very leary after reading some of these reviews, but hoped that maybe it would be better. Please read this and remember...THE ROOMS ARE VILE. We were brought to two different rooms. The first had an unbelievable odor...possibly fumigation? Windows were open, smell unbearable. Got another room that didn't have a smell and seemed ok. We were excited to see our daughter so we immediately left to visit with her. When we came back we got ready for bed and when bringing down the sheets we notice thick black hair everywhere! Even under the sheets on the matteress pad! I can't tell you how disgusting it was. We slept uneasily all night long on top of the bed with towels underneath us. It was awful. The next morning we went to the front desk to complain. We refused to stay the remaining night and demanded a refund. Well, there is a huge sign saying in red "NO REFUNDS"...makes you wonder...the women brought me to the man who cleans the room, I insisted he come look at the bed, when he romoved all the blankets BED BUGS came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't imagine! My son started stomping on them, I grabbed the luggage and ran! Please listen to me, this is a horrible place! The manager responded to this with a shrug and said he'd put us in another room! Are you kidding!!?? Another room! Please, please, please believe me and the other reviewers... save your money, make this place go out of business...don't let anyone else, or yourselves go thru what I and my family did. Needless to say after a few showers and washing all the clothes as well as the suitcase they were in I still feel dirty. I've contacted the corporate office, but who knows what they can or will do. I was also told that the owner of this particular Inn in Geneva, NY also owns the one in Buffalo...keep that in mind.

I stayed here with friends and family while we toured the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Our room was about 50 degrees when we arrived and failed to warm up after an hour with the heater. We were able to obtain an old space heater from the front desk. The bedsheets were stained and the mattress was about as hard as a piece of plywood. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't seen a mop in 6 months. The shower alternated between scalding and freezing temperatures. There also was no alarm clock or dead bolt. Completely disgusting, even a $20 room rate would not be worth the risk!!

I would of rather stayed in my car then spend another night there. The room was dirty, moldy, bathroom was filthy. Breakfast should of been in the garbage can. NEVER again. This place should be torn down.

I stayed here last night (and in fact write this review from my room). I found the hotel using a brochure in a rest stop on I-90. It is decently clean and comfortable, and I have to say that I really only have two complaints. First, I was treated with a somewhat shocking degree of rudeness upon checking in. The girl at the counter was in the middle of a phone call and could not be bothered to make the person on the other line hold long enough to even say a single word to me. Despite her speaking in a different language, the phone call was obviously personal.

My second complaint is that there was no functional deadbolt on the door, save for the one installed in the electronic lock. I am not confident that the door cannot be opened from the outside. I would have asked to change rooms, but I did not feel like attempting to distract the woman at the front desk from her phone call. Should have asked for a refund as I instantly regretted not driving 3 more minutes down route 20 and staying at the motel 6 or small, nice-looking non-chain.

When we pulled into the parking lot and there litterally wasn't another vehicle around, we should have known. A very nice young lady gave us our room keys and charged my cc. We drove over to the room and noticed across the parking lot was the laundry / vending room had broken glass in the window. As we were trying to open the door to our room (my husband had to throw his shoulder into it a couple of times) we noticed someone peeking out of a door way a few rooms away - CREEPY. When we opened the door, the smell of mold and mildew was overwhelming. The jacuzzi tub had hair all over in it and the faucet and handles were coveredin ick. The bathroom was bizarre, with the light swtich being outside the room and about 6 ft. off the floor. There was NO way I was staying there. We went directly back to the desk and told the young lady we weren't staying. She said she couldn't give us a refund because there was a 48 hr. cancellation notice. With this, her boss came out of the back and tried to get us into another room. I flat out refused and said I needed my credit card refunded and I was going elsewhere. He wasn't happy about it, but had the young lady do it. I feel so bad that she's there all alone. Don't think the price is worth it - it itsn't. I'd sooner stay at a youth hostel. RUN!!
