Due to an extended business trip, I needed to stay in Long Island for several months. I discovered the Garden City LaQuinta to be convenient, fairly priced and with friendly and attentive staff. Each week I checked in and out with no fuss, on those occasions when all was not perfect, staff responded quickly and efficiently. Thanks to Ashley and...

You get what you pay for. Overall its all about value. Not expensive with free breakfast. The wi-fi and gym is below average. If you need to check the internet or use the gym while you are on travel, then recommend better options.

The room was big. Comfy king size bed. We were put on the 2nd floor. That is the smoking floor. Our room had an air purifier in it. I had to turn up the purifier to get the smoke smell out if the room. Great parking. Great WIFI. Used the hot tub. Breakfast was actually good.

The room was spacious for business travel. This hotel is popular with Airline employees FWIW. The breakfast was average at best - It would be a much better breakfast deal if hot eggs and bacon were available. This may be the policy of LaQuita to have a cereal and pastry type breakfast to keep the price point low.

This was our first visit to LaQuinta. The property was very clean with good customer service. The double beds were small, yet comfortable if you sleep one to a bed. They also offer free Continental breakfast with waffles. If you're looking for a full breakfast, go down the street to McDonald's.

Stayed for a business trip and usually find La Quinta's to be a good mix of comfort and value. The same held true for this location- the staff was helpful, courteous, and very knowledgeable. The recommendation for a dinner locations (didn't want to eat at a chain type restaurant) was spot on! The only down side- the breakfast selection in...

Staff was extremely friendly. Parking was adequate. Breakfast ok. Cleanliness was a little suspect (specifically the pull out sofa). It was hard to get to main drag since there was no left turn out of the hotel.

Typical La Quinta accommodations and a bit overpriced for the rooms. We had four rooms for a college graduation. Three of the rooms were fine but one had a strong and persistent odor of cigarettes - YUCK. Staff was terse and somewhat snooty when we tried to check in about 30 minutes early. After that, the staff was most helpful.

The first room I was assigned smelled like a dog pound (and I'm a dog owner and love pet friendly hotels). After a dismissive experience with the front desk clerk, I was given another room, grudgingly. The room had a noisy, 1980s air conditioner. For all of this I paid a high price. Never again
