Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

People friendly and dog friendly. Clean and spacious. Decent breakfast and good recommendations for local places. If Trip Advisor wants people to write reviews then they shouldn't have a requirement of 200 characters! I'm not bothering to write another one.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite on 3rd floor. Adequate breakfast (bagels, eggs, juices) but they no longer have pancakes or waffles. The 2 bedroom executive suite have 3 tvs and each room has its own bathroom and TV. Rooms are opposite one another which us the biggest plus. Towels soft. Poor WiFi. Walking distance to a CVS and a 15 minute drive to the FDR home.

Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the fresh bagels that are delivered daily for a local bagel shop. We have several hot items as well and are rotated each day. We still have pancakes and waffles (depending on the day you stay) and the meat rotates as well; bacon, sausage and home fries. We are in a rural area, but have plenty of shops and places to eat within a 3 mile radius. We hope to see you again!

At the moment, this is the best hotel in Fishkill. I've stayed in every single one of them, since I go there regularly. It's very clean and new, with nice decor. I was really surprised by the size of the room - we got a regular King room and it had a large kitchen, living area, desk, and bedroom area. The desk was really large, the sofa was a sectional, and the kitchen had a breakfast bar with two seats in it. We had so much more room than we are used to. It was really comfortable. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The only negatives were uncomfortable pillows, and the fact that the temperature in the room was too high. Even with the heat off, it was still 71, which is a little too warm for me at night. The window would not open (we were on the first floor). Also, beware that on the first floor you can hear some noise from above, including showers and walking, although I found a white noise app was enough to drown that out. Breakfast was typical, but about as good as a breakfast buffet gets. I'd definitely go back here, especially since it was so much more comfortable than the surrounding hotels, most of which have gotten old and failed to replace things like worn-out mattresses.

We visited the area for a baseball tournament and we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel and our room were spotless, the staff was pleasant and the location convenient. Breakfast was included and it was very good. The hotel offered free coffee and tea in the large lobby all day. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

The Residence Inn/Marriot in Fishkill is a modern, clean and spacious hotel. All pandemic precautions are strictly adhered to. The lobby is large, the pool is well maintained and the rooms are spacious and well designed. The appliances are relatively new and work properly. The breakfast was generous and with healthy choices. The hotel is customer friendly and accommodating. The only drawback - one needs a car or order Uber/Lyfts to get around, as it is the furthest of hotels from the main highway and you cannot really walk to the neighboring restaurants. All in all, a very nice experience.

We went for a weekend of fall leaf-peeping & farm stand hopping, and wanted to base ourselves near the beautiful town of Beacon, NY. The Marriott Residence Inn couldn’t have been more perfect! Marvelous hotel. Friendly and helpful front desk folks. Very appealing lobby area. Although just off a busy intersection, quiet and calm surroundings near a pond. Excellent breakfast. Spacious room. Shockingly good hotel. The thing is, as a longtime Marriott Bonvoy loyalist, I’ve become accustomed to the friendly, helpful, familial treatment from Marriott people around the world, in both high-end resorts and the more basic hotels. But I’m still surprised and delighted each time by how personable the people are. The interior design here deserves a shoutout. My fiancé and I were discussing how this otherwise modest hotel recreates the feel of a community - a lodge-like open lobby, with grouped armchairs around a fireplace… a bar with line-of-sight back into the lobby. Really comfortable. As was the room, which felt like a suite! My goodness, the kitchenette even had a dishwasher. So I know this is supposed to be a medium-stay business hotel. But for a weekend getaway in a beautiful part of the world, it was just perfect - better than any country inn. Marriott Residence Inn Fishkill simply rocks

Let me start by saying I NEVER leave reviews. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels all over the country and nothing compared to this stay. I spoke to Beatrice on the phone for a VERY last second stay. My boyfriend and I had just driven 3000 miles and arrived earlier than expected... at 530 a.m with two dogs and an Airbnb that wasn’t ready until 4p.m we were stressing we’d be stuck in the car. Beatrice was a sweetheart and assured me she could take take of my family. When I got to the hotel (about 5 minutes after the phone call) she did just that. She was accommodating and made us feel at home. The room and grounds were phenomenal but it truly was Beatrice who made this stay wonderful. It’s always impossible to find a welcoming place to stay with the dogs. Not only were they allowed/welcomed but we had an awesome room away from people where we could settle in without all the hustle and bustle of a hotel. It felt like we were in our own little apartment. Beatrice went above and beyond for us and we are so so grateful. If you’re considering staying here I’m telling you right now stop looking and book! Maybe even call and ask if Beatrice is working because she’s the woman you want to be working with. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and will definitely be back. Thank you for being our home away from home. (COVID procedures were also amazing. They figured out a way to still offer things like coffee and food while still maintaining cleanliness and social distancing.)

I had the pleasure on staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott Fishkill for over 2 months. My stay was by far the best service at any Marriott property. The staff, Miss Lisa, Jess, Brian, Kristin, were above and beyond accommodating. From recommendations on local restaurants, planning your wedding party, spiritual worship party, even lighting the fire pit to keep you warm on the cold New York nights. All the bases were covered. The property is located on a beautiful area with a lovely pond within walking distance of the hotel. Also, pet friendly, with dog treats waiting for your 4 legged friends when you check in. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I am actually sad to be leaving.

I have always enjoyed staying at Marriott’s Residence Inns. But the “hot breakfast” was neither hot nor considered “breakfast”. Other than the fact that I waited in a line of 12 people waiting to order packaged food, the choices were terrible. I normally try and eat healthy foods. But Residence Inn offered sausage, pancakes and croissants. There were no hot eggs. There was no regular bread or bagels. Just fattening pancakes and disgusting sausages that a vegetarian would never eat. At least the room was clean and spacious. But there was no Keurig coffee in room as i normally see in a Residence Inn.

Thank you for taking time to let us know about your experience at our hotel. We have changed some things since the pandemic and one item is taking high touch items out of our guest rooms. The K-cups for the coffee maker are available at the front desk. Our normal breakfast buffet has also been altered since buffets are not allowed. We offer one hot item each day such as waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast burrito and potatoes. These items are rotational and not offered every day. We also offer every day hot and cold cereal, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, muffins, granola bars, juice and bottled water. We appreciate all feedback that can help us continue to exceed expectations. We will look for more options to offer vegetarian's.
