My husband and I were so looking forward to visiting the spa at this hotel yesterday (Saturday, 11 March 2017), where you have the option of using the pool, steam shower and jacuzzi without a spa treatment. After reading about it the night before, we called on Saturday morning to confirm the details and were told that for non-guests the...

Dear Tamara W, I am sorry about the misunderstanding. We are a small hotel with a very small spa. The spa itself is one room and that is where the treatments are performed. When there are treatments being performed, then no one else (not even guests) can use the spa. We don't advertise to outside guests because it is something...

We spent an October weekend at the Baker House and relished in the comfort, elegance, and peacefulness of the buildings, grounds and our room. The rooms and grounds are impeccably appointed, the staff are warm and friendly, and the location is perfect! We enjoyed the cozy room and especially our last breakfast in the historic inn! It was the perfect...

We live in the beautiful, historic Village of Sag Harbor, NY, one of the places that make up the extraordinary area known as the "Hamptons". We didn’t want to face the epic hassles that are part of plane travel these days, so we decided to treat ourselves to a luxury hotel “STAYCATION” and get some much needed luxury & pampering....

Are you looking for sleek and modern spot in the country or something that is the REAL DEAL? The Baker House exudes class and comfort of another era, the time when the party crowd had not yet boarded the LIRR in search of the latest thing. Comfort with a capital "C," includes posh chairs, a roaring fireplace (winter and real!)...

Thank you for your wonderful review Eileen0727! We feel very fortunate that we are able to share this unique, historical property with others and are so glad that your experience was so positive. We work very hard in maintaining the integrity of this building (which is one of the oldest continuously occupied structures in the country) and the grounds, but...

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in September and would return in an instant. The location, gardens and room are perfect. The service amazing, breakfast fantastic. Location brilliant, just walking distance from the bustle of the shops and cafes. I look forward to returning here next time I visit East Hampton.

This is a small, very romantic inn with gorgeous rooms, grounds and a beautiful pool and spa in a great location; within walking distance of town, movie theatre and the beach. The breakfasts are glorious but -- if you sit outside, prepare to wait a long time for service as the young staff is happily chatting in the kitchen. DO make...

The Baker House is one the most beautiful, refined, and tasteful inns I have ever stayed in. The grounds are stunning and secluded with spectacular old trees and two pools to choose from. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
East Hampton Village's charming Baker House 1650 is regarded by critics and guests alike as the most exclusive and luxurious bed and breakfast in the Hamptons. From the ivy covered walls to the 200 year old wisteria and formal English gardens, the feel is distinctly European. Less expected are state of the art amenities such as flat screen high definition TV's with full cable and DVD players, Bose wave music systems with iPod docks and free wireless internet. The large, beautifully furnished rooms with wood burning fireplaces, William Morris wallpapers, and Frette linens delight visitors, and the lavish bathrooms are enhanced by whirlpools and L'Occitane products. The outdoor infinity-edge pool, with teak chaises for sunbathing, is ideal for unwinding, and the Baker Spa, featuring an endless pool, massage area, steam shower, Jacuzzi and sauna, provides unparalleled relaxation. In the summer, guests receive coveted East Hampton Village beach parking passes, as well as plush beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. The Baker Carriage House, located directly behind the main house, offers even more luxurious accommodations and suites, making it a purely indulgent retreat. The Baker House 1650 is ideally located on the historic village green, within walking distance to the ocean, as well as world-class shopping and restaurants. ... more   less
