Can I still post my review after a visit some years ago ( the travel period is actually 4 or 5 years ago, please Tripadvisor..)? The Big Moose Inn is the most memorable place we stayed in during one of our tours of the US in twothousand something.. What a great stopover at the Big Moose Inn. I remember attacking...

My wife and I recently returned to the Adirondacks, and we are making stops that we remember. We stopped here for lunch in the "Tavern" off the Inn Dining Room. Quiet, Peaceful, Nice Menu... My wife ordered a Moose Burger, with Fries, French Onion Soup, and a Soda. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich "dressed" which means Lettuce, Tomato slice,...

Dear guest, Thank you for dining with us at the Big Moose Inn. We appreciate the feedback. Our menu is not "a la carte", all of our sandwiches include toppings such as lettuce, onion and tomato, as well as french fries. In comparison to other "taverns" in our area, the prices are pretty much equal. Thank you again for your...

My husband and I just returned from a trip to The Big Moose Inn. Since we were given this trip as a Christmas gift by our son and daughter in law we had no idea of what to expect. The inn is a treasure!!!! We had an updated room with a view of the lake. We told the owner about...

The area is beautiful. I loved how it was on moose lake. We arrived earlier than our reservation and enjoyed sitting by the lake at sunset. I should have looked at the menu before we went. Thankfully they had a one steak option for my husband. I had the lobster ravioli. My husband said his strip steak was ok but...

It was a treat to stay at a new place in an area I'm very familiar with. Extraordinarily friendly, helpful staff - the young man who helped me lug my suitcases out really didn't want to take a tip! I love the old-fashioned feel of this place, from the lobby/living room to the rooms. At the same time, I was...

We had a great stay at Bog Moose Inn. We went there for dinner after a long day of hiking (bad winds slowed us down and we were much more tired than we expected). We had a great dinner and some local beers, and since we were really tired we asked if they happened to have a room open. They...

Visited this Inn for our 40th anniversary and enjoyed the serene atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. We were very impressed when we arrived that the owners upgraded us to a larger room for our special occasion. Our dinner was excellent and the updated continental breakfasts were very enjoyable. A nice gesture was the Keurig coffee unit in our room. Canoes and...

First off, Mark and Susan are kind owners who will accommodate special needs such as refrigeration of medicine, etc. They upgraded us to a King room for our anniversary and on checkout credited our account $50 for a last minute problem in our room. With that said, I'd rate the restaurant a 4 - we had a lovely dinner and...

The Inn was a bit of a disappointment this year compared to our visit last year. The Inn is showing a major need for repair. Rotten boards, paint peeling, etc. I felt that these needs did not make for an inviting, relaxing environment. The restaurant food was average at best. Also, as we were at dinner the owner came out to...

This is a lovely Inn to stay at overnight, but if you don't have time for a long visit you can still enjoy the fabulous fine dining their restaurant offers. Some of our favorites are the steamed clams, smoked clam chowder, and duck. Love their french onion soup paired with a glass of Coppola Rossa. When the weather is nice...
