John and Nancy are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly, made my wife and I feel "right at home" in their home and prepare great breakfasts. The home is set in the woods about 1 mile from Crown Point which is very historical since mining for iron in the 1800's led to the invention of the electromagnet. Also very close... More

My family and I had a wonderful time staying with Nancy and her family. They were very accommodating and helpful. We were visiting Crown Point for the first time, and they had some great suggestions about what to see. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We loved chatting with everyone and we would definitely recommend it.

John & Nancy made me feel like I was visiting family. The charm and character of their B&B was both relaxing and comforting. They out did themselves with breakfast and definitely had something for everyone. I can't wait to visit again! It was my first time at a B&B and I can't believe I waited this long to try one!!!!

We spent 2 wonderful nights in this very quiet B&B. The owners are marvelous people. They will cook a fantastic breakfast for you! Almost everything is homemade: bread. apple sauce, pancakes, fruit salad, scramble eggs, vegetable fritata, sausages, bacon, home made potatoes, ... You cannot possibly finish it all! You will feel like home and better :-) Nice rooms with... More

Our stay at Stoney Lonesome was wonderful. John and Nancy’s home has such rich history. They raised their family there and have created a home that is wonderfully cozy and inviting and they treated us with such kindness. We thoroughly enjoyed being greeted at the door by their friendly family dogs, just like at home. Breakfast meals were delicious and... More

The recent stay of three nights at John and Nancy's Stoney Lonesome Bed and Breakfast was a highpoint of the conference I had at Fort Ticonderoga! The place was warm and wonderful! The yummy breakfasts were all cooked on the spot and were great. We were made to feel just part of the family and we enjoyed the entire experience.... More

I was picking my son up at Camp Dudley in nearby Westport, NY further up Rt. 9N so everything was booked and found this gem about 20 to 25 minutes out. Getting there w/o GPS was an adventure as you literally go down a single lane dirt road for a couple of miles and began having serious doubts that I... More

It's great you were able to find us! We know we're a bit off the main road, but it all adds to the quaintness of the B&B and the beautiful Adirondack mountains. Hearing that you enjoyed your room as well as the country breakfast served is fantastic. As a side note, we do have Verizon service here and soon AT&T... More

Had a wonderful stay at Stoney Lonesome. Nancy wasn't expecting a guest but got everything ready on short notice, being especially helpful when she heard I was unable to find accommodations elsewhere. Area is very quiet, room was comfortable and breakfast was great. It's an added thrill to realize all power comes from off the grid, but this does not... More
