We booked two nights through Hotels.com (so reduced) purely as my other half was starting a new job in the area. Looked at the reviews which seemed ok. Lady who greeted us was friendly and efficient. We were given the key to room 12, a double as requested. A good sized room (an L shape) but very poor lighting -...

We found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. The room was a very good size and was warm and clean. We didn't have dinner but the cooked breakfast was delicious and the coffee was quite nice. This is a very charming inn a short distance to Stratford-Upon-Avon.

We stayed for one night in room number 1 on a deal that included bed , breakfast and an evening meal. The staff we met were very friendly , and were handed the key to room number 1. Maybe I'm odd but a room with no windows is not to my taste , and although it had a skylight that...

We hadn't been into the Blue Boar for some time but on a friend's recommendation we thought we would give it a try for lunch. The new manager has transformed the whole feel of the place. The bar looked inviting, with tables laid ready to eat. The menu is good with a varied range options. We chose a cold meats...

Nice pub, with a restaurant attached, it is outside (but convenient to) Stratford-upon-Avon. After a hard day 'doing the bard' we were made to feel very welcome: the food was good - tasty fish, excellent steak and (I'm told) a delicious vegetarian option. Both the beer and wine options were most potable and the surroundings, if a little plain, were...

Firstly, I told the front of house staff during my meal of the whole experience, and so they dealt with it professionally and promptly. I ordered Cajun chicken, which was a flattened halved dry chicken breast with raw dried spices sprinkled on top. It was returned, and the new chicken had increased spices, but this time wet, possibly mixed with...

We are a group of ex work colleagues, all retired and we meet up several times a year for an evening meal and a natter about old times. We call ourselves the ROMEO's ( Retired Old Men Eating Out ) We find the Blue Boar absolutely ideal. A very warm welcome, prompt service and excellent food. Unlike many other pubs,...

Just spent 2 night here great accommodation and very good hosts. Food was amazing Would return .This place has a great bar and dinning area with a roaring fire. Would highly recommend them. Easy to find and even though we arrived earlier that check in time room was ready and we made to feel welcome.
