My husband and I just had another delightful stay at the Great Tree Inn B&B. Mark and Sheila are wonderful owners and make you feel right at home from the moment you get out of your car. They greeted us like old friends, which was so welcoming. We were in Chautauqua for a concert at the Institute and stayed for...

My sister and I stayed only one night but hated to leave. Not only was the room fantastic, comfortable and full of everything we needed (even chocolate) but there were three other comfortable rooms and a beautiful outdoor living space to relax and enjoy while staying. Our hosts were warm and friendly as well as fantastic cooks (and bakers) I...

From the time we turned into the driveway, to the time we unfortunately had to leave (after two days at The Great Tree Inn), we felt VERY much at home - - which I am sure is exactly what Mark and Sheila hope to achieve with all guests. These two terrific people operate a very professional and quality-oriented Inn with...

From pulling in the driveway shortly before 3 PM on a Thursday, til departure Saturday morning, it "felt like home", but with lots of attention to detail and special care. Mark met us at the door, as did Herman, the barn cat. VERY clean and comfortable public space, guest rooms and outdoor table/seating. Can't help but to feel at peace...

We stayed at the Great Tree Inn as part of a little anniversary and "babymoon." When we arrived to the inn, we were immediately greeted by Mark and shown to our room as well as the many amenities the B&B has to offer. There are a few rooms for you to relax in on the first floor, as well as...

Lovely B&B in at Lake Chautauqua. The innkeepers, Mark and Sheila, are absolute delights, and they work hard at welcoming their guests and making their stays comfortable. While not all of the rooms at the inn are equal, the service and the breakfasts are wonderful. Fresh eggs creatively prepared every morning and we even got to meet the chickens! The...

When it comes to staying at a B&B, the main things are friendliness, good food and cleanliness. This is a lovely place to stay and surpasses any place at the Chautauqua Institute, which are old, and costly and in need of rehab. Mark gave us with a Warm friendly greeting when we arrived, the grounds are beautiful, the old home...

This is a charming bed and breakfast just outside the town of Mayville, New York and close to Chataqua Lake. The Inn is a former farm house built in the 1850's. There used to be a large porch running the length of the house that is now enclosed and forms the lovely dining area where we had breakfast. Coffee is...

Stay here. It's a no-brainer. Mark & Sheila were very generous and courteous hosts, and their B&B offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Great pancakes, Mark! And keep the chocolate chip cookies coming, Sheila.
