The Sagamore's setting within the Adirondacks is beautiful, especially at sunset. We stayed in the main building & found it to be lovely, clean, & quiet. The staff was polite & very helpful. Morning brunch was delicious.

We had an amazing time up at The Sagamore. Were looking for a place that was driving distance of NYC that had family activities to keep the kids busy. The Sagamore had a variety of activities each day as well as a kids club on select days. There was swimming, wall climbing,

Dear CEN13, Thank you for looking for us! We are thrilled that you found us! It really is an easy drive from the city and I was happy to read that the family was able to get that quality time we all need! Best part of the review is that you want to return! Gore mountain is about a half hour drive from us and offers all levels of terrain from the beginner to the triple black diamond! Also West mountain is close by, has tubing, great trails and has night skiing. If you never skied at night you should try it! Thank you once again and we look forward to your return! Sincerely, Tom Guay

Just stayed at the Sagamore just before The New Year (2018). Was our 3rd or 4th stay over the last few years. During my first stay (Fall 2017) I always said it’s absolutely perfect in every way. Would love to get married there. This most recent stay (Winter 2018), I proposed to

My wife and I have been going to the Sagamore for lunch for many years. The food is great, and we love to eat lunch there. I had the bright idea of deciding to spend New Year's Eve at the Sagamore. NOT a good idea. The place was very crowded, and had lots of families come

Just returned having been up there for 3 nights. I've actually wanted to hit this resort for over a decade but my mini vacations have been spent elsewhere. Overall solid spot, the main lodge is beautiful, and service for the most part was excellent. We stayed in building 4,

Dear U1710MOkevinc, I thank you for finally staying with us and also for taking the time to post a review! I was happy to read that you did enjoy your time with us and it was nice to hear that you hopefully will return in the summer! I also thank you for the constructive comments, or "gripes" as you put it. I was concerned that we did not let your daughter participate. I am sorry and truly wished we had! Also thanks for the suggestions for activities. We are always looking for unique things to do for our Guests. In closing, I thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your return! Sincerely, Tom Guay

I did not go fishing could google and search for look for reviews on charter fishing. The front desk was not helpful and would prob cost you a lot more money. Would also try other areas like queensbury. A lot of things to do and eat there and prices reasonable

I was there in December. La Bella Vita and Mr. Brown’s were only place open. In town there was a nice place open and the liquor store. Everything else was closed up tight

I see other’s answers, but you should call the hotel and ask. You might be able to book ahead.

Boat leaves twice daily....11:30am and 1:30pm, on a first come first served basis. I can't see why if you got there early that they wouldn't let you go on if there's room or have use of the pool. We got there about two hours early and our room was ready. However, the person checking in before us was told that they would have to wait, so your mileage may vary.

"Sleep would have been fine but for 2 nights of extremely loud people and kids in the hallways."
"The main hotel is quaint and near everything. Lodges are great for families. Prices range from mid to luxury allowing you to have options"
"Room 243 is the one we stayed in."
"Stay in the main hotel and request a water view room."
"Lake view lodge rooms are worth the extra money. Stay away from their less expensive 1st floor lodge rooms with views of a gravel bank."
