Due to car troubles, we arrived later than expected, but Ginny was very understanding. Our cabin was ready, and we relaxed and enjoyed fires in our fireplace each evening. The cabins are close to the lake, and a wonderful place to relax and connect with nature. They are not f

Years ago we came up every year enjoying it immensly, we stopped for a while and could never get an available time to book. On a trip through the ADK, we stopped on a whim and found an opening for a weekend, we booked and were very happy we did. Quaint cozy and clean. The weat

26 adults and 2 toddlers met for a Father’s Day weekend family reunion. What an amazing and relaxing time. We rented several cottages and met to cook and share meals and to gather at the fire pits to chat and watch the day turn to night. Most cottages front the lake and the other

Going there this Friday? How secluded is it? Any place to eat? What two places would you have to see?
Not many places to eat, bring your own food. Indian Lake Hotel is average. Cottages are not very secluded. Hike to Castle Rock is fairly arduous but the view should be awesome for color. The nearby Adirondack Museum is excellent.

Do you actually catch fish here? From docks or boat? I would love the find an answer, as my husband has not had a successful fishing trip in years!
Yes, PPC is definitely a good spot for fishing, although from the dock the pickings are pretty slim. Take one of the rowboats provided out into the bay a bit, and you'll catch stuff. But best of all is out on the lake. My family and I are not fisherfolk, but lots of dedicated fishers are regulars here. You could check with the Blue Mountain Boat Livery; they know the best fishing spots. Give them a call.

Although the cottage are designed for self-service, are there any restaurant, bistro or similar in the neighbourhood open in mid September??
There are 2 places within walking distance from Prospect Point for different types of meals. There is The Hedges which is excellent for breakfast or dinner and is by reservation only. The other is a small all purpose convenient store that has good subs, pizza, breakfast sandwiches and a variety of other foods. Then within approximately 11 miles you have numerous restaurants . Thank you for thinking of us and we hope to hear from you soon.
