Selinda Camp looks out onto the Selinda Spillway, a unique seasonal waterway that links the Okavango Delta with the wildlife-rich floodplains of the Linyanti marshes. Selinda Camp's nine spacious tents (including a family unit) are tucked away into the natural vegetation with wonderful views of palm-studded floodplains. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and veranda. The main area is attractive, cool and under thatch and comprises dining, lounge and bar areas with spectacular views. Set apart from the main area is the photo and art gallery next to the camp's 500-bottle wine cellar, open-air deck, plunge pool and traditional campfire area. The Selinda Spillway winds its way through the Selinda Reserve and forms a magnet for the wildlife of the region. The area is thus an all-year-round wildlife viewing destination with large concentrations of elephant, buffalo, antelope, lechwe, giraffe, zebra, kudu, cheetah, wild dog, lion and leopard, with excellent birding of over 300 species in both the marshes and the dry country. Morning and afternoon-into-night game drives in custom-built 4x4 Land Cruisers with Guided nature walks, boating and seasonal fly-fishing

Dumela Jane W! Thank you for taking the time to write this 'top class' review. Selinda is truly a magical place, and we wouldn't be able to deliver on this standard without the fantastic team we have. We are happy to hear that everything from the food, the drinks, accommodation and conversation around the fire have left you with such great memories. Foster has a true passion for what he does, and yes, it reflects in every drive. We are hoping you'll tick safari on your bucket list, a second time around with us! Warmest Bush Regards, Anica, Michael & the Selinda Team

Dumela! Thank you for taking the time to review Selinda Explorers. Just to avoid confusion to other readers, Selinda Explorers is in the Selinda Reserve but a different camp within the Great Plains group from Selinda Camp. We are happy that you enjoyed the experience & uniqueness of this beautiful camp. Thank you for the feedback on the guiding experience you had, as we are very proud of our guides and the high standards they maintain, but the overall focus should be our guests at all times, and this will be brought to his attention. Warmest regards Selinda's Management Team

Arrived on foot after a 4.5 hour hike from the end of the Selinda Adventure Trail which I have evaluated in another report. A group of the female staff greeted us with an African song as a welcome but there was no passion in their singing and no warmth to their half

Dumela Martyn, Thank you for taking the time to review Selinda. I'm sorry that myself and Michael were not in camp on your arrival, and I have taken all your comments to heart and in discussion with all our departments. We are very proud of our camp and the overall experience we strive to, and I am sorry that the overall ambience, food and the guide have left you underwhelmed. The weather the weekend of your stay was unseasonable, going from extreme heat to cold & windy, and this had an impact on our sightings, over that period, but I am pleased that you did see a good variety. All our guides are of a high quality and calibre, and I have taken this up your comments with the guide in question, as well as the excessive use of the radio, which there is no excuse for. Selinda will be undergoing some renovations, and we hope to welcome you back in the future to experience our Magic. Kind regards Anica, Michael & the Team

We visited Selinda in July which is their winter. It was cold out but the staff was warm and welcoming! The rooms were well appointed and the little touches like laundry everyday and a furry hot water bottle to snuggle with at night were awesome. The chef was super and dinners al

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Joanw8461! The winter is such a special time in the bush, and as the days are cooler we have the opportunity to take off the canopies, enjoy the sunshine and in the evenings, enjoy the starry sky. Your kind words have been passed on to the rest of the team and we look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful Selinda! Warm Bush regards Anica, Michael & the Team

Luxury tent.
Hi we will be going to the Selinda camp early Nov will we need any jackets or warm clothing. Also do I need to take and shampoo. Thank you
They have shampoo and cream rinse. It was hot during the day when we were there but we needed fleece or nano puff for early morning drives. We were there in September so I expect weather in November will be different. Gorgeous baby leopards in the area! I hope you get to see them
