Great accommodation in en-suite permanent tent, delicious meals served in the evening, and great breakfast options. Our host Nooky was very accommodating, going out of the way to provide tasty vegetarian options for two vegos in our group. The daily tour activities (we spend two...More

Wanted to go fishing in the Delta and stumbled upon the Guma Lagoon Camp. Reachable by road only in a 4x4 with low pressure tires through very soft sand. The camp sites are isolated from each other with your own bathroom and shower. Very clean....More

The drive in reminds one of all the roads in Botswana 30 yrs ago! The location is great and the lodge design wonderful. Accommodation in riverfront chalets was the best we had along the Okavango river. Staff was efficient, boat was nice. It is all...More

hello, we are planning a 5 night stay at Guma Lagoon in early July, and I sometimes wonder if there is enough to do? we are mostly interested in birdwatching, taking some walks (is the camp fenced in or do we have to watch out for dangerous animals?) and generally relaxing., soaking in the atmosphere....reading.... We will be self catering. We are not going to be on safari but will most likely go on a mokoro trip although I find the idea quite scary,We will also try our hand at fishing one day...take a boat trip... Do you think 5 days will be too much? thanks for your input.
