Our stay at Meno a Kwena was part of our 10 day private safari with Wildland Safaris (and what an incredible experience that was!). From the moment we alighted our safari vehicle when the staff lined up to introduce themselves and welcome us, to dining with manager TT under the stars and being escorted by him to our room, our...

Stayed here for 2 nights with our group 3 weeks ago. Beautiful views over the river. Tents were very comfortable, had all mod cons and could power up batteries etc, but couldn't understand why couldn't have had a kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee, had to have a flask of hot water brought to you. Food was...

The camp sits in a gorgeous location overlooking a bend in the charming, meandering Boteti River. Meno lacks the elegance of some Botswana camps, but its tents are clean, spacious and very comfortable - good bed, shower and toilet - while offering a gorgeous view of the river and the forested plateau beyond. Staff was superb in terms of friendliness...

A very pleasant experience. The lodge is in reasonable shape, if rather sandy, with several pleasant public areas for relaxing, the dining area is communal and the sleeping tent is comfortable, open at the front, with insect netting. Staff are attentive and professional. It’s not fenced, so you can get animals coming in at night, and guests are escorted to...

In our time in Botswana we visited 3 camps and this was our first. It is a bit of a drive from Maun where we flew in from South Africa but the view and camp are worth the drive. I thought I was dreaming. The tents are beautiful and spacious. The view was out of this world. Food was delicious...

We spent two nights at Meno a Kwena and enjoyed it very much. The setting - overlooking the Boteti River - is beautiful, and the lodgings are very comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and the food, cooked over hot coals in an outdoor kitchen, is absolutely delicious. KBL, our guide on the game drive, was excellent, and...

But we were told best time to come is April to Sept, when all the animals come to Boteti River for water.. that would make the view from the rooms more amazing. Staff is extra courteous.. like family!

Dumela! Thank you so much for providing feedback. Hopefully we'll see you back during the migration season? We truly believe that each season at camp has its advantages (although the sight of the zebra migration is definitely something to behold) and we are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us. We drove to Meno a Kwena, loved its location, tents on the high ridge above the river Boteti, very comfortable tent with deck and excellent view, game drive was superb, took about 1hr to get to the animals, but worth it, hundreds of elephant, kudu, wildebeest, birdlife, and a few prides of lions. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Resting atop ancient and awe inspiring cliffs, with the serene Boteti River flowing in front of your tent and zebra, kudu and elephant interacting beyond, Meno a Kwena provides a haven for those after a more authentic safari experience. The bushman walk offered here is also a highlight of many visits for guests of all ages. This fully inclusive camp offers nine fully serviced, en suite Meru tents that hark to halcyon days on safari. A traditional fenced boma partly envelops each of the tents, whilst outside, a bucket shower with a view complete the picture. Away from the rooms there are multiple spots for guests to enjoy alone or spend time with their fellow travellers, be it in the floating photographic hide, in the relaxed lounge area overlooking the river, or at the bar. For those keen to brush up on their knowledge before the next drive there's a library and dining area, for a drop of sun meanwhile the pool area is undeniably tempting. Meno a Kwena is the area's only camp accessible by road, with a two hour transfer to Maun. Transfers are complimentary both to and from Maun airport. ... more   less
