This was a great place to stay for the IPUF conference. Personal attention by the owner added to a good experience. The Rectory is well situated in Clanwilliam and next to the best lunch and dinner venus in town.

We spent 3 nights at The Rectory and didn't want to leave. Esther, the owner, saw to our every need and her breakfasts are so creative and delicious. The establishment is just charming - yes, a little dark, and on the main road, but ............... it was quiet, spacious, we felt safe and our car parking was very adequate, and...

My husband and I stayed over for two nights while doing some work in the area. The accommodation was lovely, breakfast delicious and the hosts gracious. Highly recommended for anyone passing through this charming little town.

A note on the door directed us to the doctor's rooms next door where me met the owner's mother. She was expecting us and soon organized our large comfortable room filled with yellowwood furniture. A claw foot bath and large cupboards added to the feeling of having stepped back in time. They had even taken the initiative and booked a...

We had exchanged some correspondence with Mrs Strauss and finally confirmed our stay. When we arrived in the evening in the dark and heavy rain, nobody opened the door. With the help of some locals we managed to track down the owneress. She had given our room away and not expected anybody anymore. Apparently, the lady does not have control...
