Stayed there recently and on arrival was pleasantly surprised that the Lodge staff had switched on the heating in the room. This made me feel particularly welcome as the outside temperature was around 14 degrees. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated (I like it) - simple / uncluttered. Both dinner and breakfast served in the restaurant was adequate...

Had an enforced stop over in Clanwilliam due to car issuse, we had a 2 night stay at The Clanwilliam Lodge. The building started out in 1916 as a hostel for older peopleaccording to photographs on the wall. The staff were very attentive but lacked supervision, there did not appear to be anyone in charge giving direction. The place is...

The staff of this hotel do it credit. Portia at reception is a Star for actually guiding us to the hotel by cellphone. A lovely young lady. Hard to believe you can get lost in Clanwilliam. The Lady in Red in the restaurant is also a star. I didn't recall her name but she is from Namibia. However ....... the...

Nice hotel and the rooms were cool thanks to great air conditioning and were spacious. Very friendly staff served a lovely lunch and breakfast was good too. Late booking in so got a standard room which was on the ground floor but found it totally adequate. Nice quiet room so managed a good night's sleep after the 45 degree heat...

After our holiday in the Cederbergs we decided to have lunch at Clanwilliam Lodge. At first we had great service from Yvonne, seating us under the aircon next to the bar. Unfortunately this is were it stopped. No glasses were available in the bar and people waited a long time to get served. We had to get our own menus...

Perfectly acceptable lodge, with clean rooms, friendly staff and adequate meals. Nothing special or out of this world, but quite okay. There isn't much choice of accommodation in the area, so be realistic in your expectations.

When we initially made the reservation we were told that they only had superior rooms available - I did not believe them!! Phoned a day later and actually made a reservation for a standard room at a lower price!! On arrival we were at least given the option of 2 rooms.... the choice we mad was acceptable as we have...

I found this lodge very comfortable for the weary traveller. The rooms are basic but very well kept, clean linen and towels. There is free wifi in common areas where there is ample and comfortable seating. There is a large restaurant that serves an excellent variety of food. Breakfasts are very hearty too. The staff were all very friendly and...

We stayed at the lodge on 8 September 2015. The hotel was upgraded, but they forgot to upgrade the linen and the towels. The pillows on the bed was also worn out and not clean. Our room was very stuffy and we had to open up all the windows for fresh air. The room was not dusted and very small....
