Drove for nearly 12 straight overnight when we got to Tucumcari and my husband and I were simply exhausted. It was not quite 1pm when I walked into the reception desk and asked for a room. They had one ready and just like that, we had a very clean, fresh-smelling room where we both fell into an extremely comfortable bed. My only disappointment was the indoor is not heated and when I awoke from I nap I went for a quick dip only to discover the water was FREEZING. Other than that, there was not a single thing wrong with our stay.

We stayed overnight in this hotel as we were doing the US route 66. Hotel is located on Route 66 and close to I 40. It’s a small and cheap hotel.
Room was small with comfortable beds, however, the carpets didn’t look to be properly vacuumed. It was not sound proof and we could here noises from the walkway and adjacent room. Room was provided with a/c, TV, fridge, alarm clock, coffee machine, free Wi-Fi and toiletries.
Breakfast was served in the room adjacent to the reception area. As I was travelling for the last few days and having stayed in much better properties, breakfast was a disappointment in most of those places. But, I was really surprised by the breakfast served by this small hotel, with nothing else to boast of. It had a very extensive spread with egg patties, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, Belgian waffles, muffins, cereals, breads, fruits, yogurt, juices, hot chocolate and tea/coffee.
A vending machine for snacks and drinks is kept at the lobby. Otherwise, there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby. Restaurants are in the town center, about 2.5 miles away from this hotel. So, we picked up something for dinner from Lowe’s Market, which was also in the town center. Check-in was very smooth and staff were very pleasant and helpful too. Free parking is available and the parking area was quiet big. The pool was closed for maintenance and painting was underway in the reception area.
Overall, it was a satisfactory stay and worth the money you pay. Going by the name of the hotel, only breakfast and staff were super. Hotel needs a painting and a thorough maintenance.

The hotel was alright for sleeping and nothing more. I was scared to touch anything in the washroom and I was afraid to sleep in the bed, so I slept with my clothes on. The washroom had stains in the tub area like the tub was half cleaned, so sadly we did not shower.

We chose this Super 8 as it was fairly inexpensive and pet friendly but like they say, you get what you pay for. The room looked nice at first but then several issues came up during our one night stay. The sink did not drain and I pretty much knew the problem: hair! I removed the sink stopper and using a bent safety pin, pulled out a rat-sized wad of disgusting matted hair from the drain pipe. That took care of that issue. When my wife pulled down the blanket on the bed she discovered either a blood stain, or feces stain on the fitted sheet. She ripped off that sheet and then discovered three pee stains on the mattress topper! Disgusting! I went to the manager and he gave us replacement sheets but we ended up just using our own which we just happened to have in our truck. Another issue, the handle on the bathroom sink was so loose it was about to fall off. It just needed to be tightened with an Allen wrench but apparently maintenance is pretty marginal at this motel. I reported all of this to the manager and he did discount my room rate but still, these issues should never come up in a well maintained, well serviced property. Spent the extra few bucks and stay someplace better.

I apologize for any inconvenience I've caused . we will try to do better everyday and our staff doing same thing.It was just our errors of mistakes and unfortunately we asked couple of options and we tried to go beyond our services matter fact make you guys happy we did gave you good discount cause of it was late at night.we did not like you said what you get you paid for comparison to other super 8 we do have good hot and full breakfast and big rooms with couch. but we do believe guest is always right .I apologize again and hope see you soon.Thank you for your feedback we will look into it.

I stayed her Jan. 1 on my travels home from Arkansas. Let me preface this by telling on my to Arkansas I stayed at the Motel 6 for 1/2 the price. Just needed places to sleep overnight on my travels. The motel 6 was impeccable. Sanitized and labeled proof and coverings to show that all areas of my room were clean. When I checked into the super 8. I was stunned. Since any attempt to have my complain resolved by either Wyndham, La Quinta or the very Super 8 management (try calling...the number disconnects) I have resorted to this complaint and these attached photos. When I first called the front desk, only to explain the sheets were wrinkled and dirty and had cigarette holes in them, I asked for a replacement of sheets and blankets. The front desk told me I would need to come get them! I told them “No” they will bring them to me. They brought me one sheet, one pillow case and no blanket. When I called back to explain I needed a full set, he hung up on me. I called back and explained that I wasn’t sure if we were disconnected or if hung up on me, but I’m sure the hotel manager could resolve the question in the morning, he brought me a blanket. Now I will just let the photos tell the story. I spent an hour of my own time cleaning with my sanitary wipes. Also, none of the housekeeping staff in the hallway in the morning had on masks or gloves.

Halls and rooms wreaked of cigarette smoke. Various little things needed repair. Great breakfast as all of the Super Eight's we stayed in. Locked door was open not requiring a key until later in the evening. Also close to the freeway so a bit noisy.

Check in was easy and they were friendly. The rooms were horrible. The rooms smelled like dog pee, there was dog hair all over the bench/suitcase stand, dog hair on the bed spreads, mattresses were well past needing to be replaced with massive dips where you lay, the towels were ragged with holes, the tub drain was clogged and filled up as I showered, the tv stand had crumbs all over, behind the bed/night stand is covered in a thick hair & dust layer, I even found a small baggie on the floor with questionable residue. It was evident little cleaning is done in the rooms after each guest and that was confirmed in the morning when I saw small children helping to turn rooms over. Only changing sheets and towels is not acceptable. Huge mistake booking here.

Convenient location for long drive between Tulsa, OK & Phoenix, AZ. Stayed at Super-8 Tucumcari on several occasions. Easy access from freeway. Allow pets ($10.00). Comfortable, clean, quiet (room #115) and good value. Has a good breakfast area, and front desk is always helpful & manned 24x7. Bed comfortable, large room, good working heater/AC (not noisy), shower/bathroom fully functional (plentiful hot water). Checkin/checkout very straightforward. I mostly arrive late and leave pretty early.

I was tired and stopped at the first motel i came across which was this location. clerk was friendly but a little slow. no breakfast was being offered at this location because of covid. I drove into town to get something to eat and saw numerous motels that were $10-20 cheaper(aa few were the same quality of Super 8) so look around before getting a room. room was clean, tv worked ok and WIFI was good. bed was good.
