If you are interested in sustainable living or experimental architecture and you are visiting Taos, this place is a must. You can even stay in for a night and experience little bit of off-grid living.

Stayed overnight at the Lemuria earthship. Best night's rest I've had in ages. The earthship was beautifully decorated and had everything you needed, including fresh eggs in the fridge. The aroma of the plants and earth was so comforting. The silence was incredible. The only thing I could hear was a flag blowing in the wind. The night skies were...

I had seen the Earthship community several times when in the Taos area and had a great deal of curiosity. I'm glad that I stayed there...it is an unworldly experience. I stayed in the Lemuria. It was spacious and had all the comforts of home. The temperature was a fairly steady 70 degrees the entire stay. Excellent!

We drove all the way b out there to see very little, blocked off private roads. A welcome center that in my opinion charges way to much to see and experience very little. What you see in my pictures is what you get. The kids really wanted to see more about the construction and how they recycled materials into building...

I rented a two bedroom "earthship" at this location. These homes are utterly amazing. Home had an interior green house, solar, water that is used 5 times before it returns, and outstanding systems for this home. Very comfortable, well maintained and decorated, and unique design. One of the best places I have ever stayed.

Beautiful, spacious and surreal place on the Taos Mesa. We spent five peaceful nights here underneath the starry sky. In the morning, we jogged on the gravel roads and admired the high desert vistas. Staying in the earthship was far more interesting than just visiting. We began to understand and appreciate how these homes function as actual off-the-grid systems. Yay...

Our one-night stay in the Taos Earthship community was a highlight of our New Mexico vacation. The homes are unique, comfortable, and beautifully situated on a plateau near the Rio Grande Gorge. A must-see!

My family and I finally made our way down and stayed in an earthship. We stayed in the Phoenix which was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the home was very clean. The kids loved the birds, fish, chickens and turtles. In all it was an amazing trip and we will definitely be back.

I wanted a mini-vacation close to Albuquerque. I came across the Earthship Biotecture and rented the Waybee home for 3 days. The cost of the home per night was very close to a hotel rental in Taos. My party consisted of 2 adults, a 5 yr and a 4 month baby. It was a great experience, but the house was...
