I had a once-in-a-lifetime adventure at Tau Game Lodge. I was traveling with a friend, and we only had one night to go to the Madikwe Reserve, and I'm so happy we picked Tau. The setting is incredible on a natural waterhole. We saw impala, zebra, elephants, and a crocodile from the lodge deck! We also had a ton of...

Fabulous safari adventure! My husband and I experienced Tau Game Lodge after a three week trip in Malawi. From the warm welcome to the last goodbye, you will feel pampered and well taken care of. On our safari excursions we saw all of the Big 5 except the elusive leopard. Not for a lack of trying though! Our drive guide...

Tau Lodge is the biggest lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve, with 30 units in total. The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated and all situated on the perimeter fence, either facing the open bush or a watering hole where animals like Zebra, Impala, Waterbuck, Warthog and Elephant often come down to drink and cool down. The water hole is also home...

Great location, brilliant rangers, lovely room and public rooms. Good wifi. Management spot on! Food varied and plentiful. Had an amazing couple of nights here. Thank you so much. Saw every main animal (apart from the elusive Leopard!)

Lodge is nice. Rooms are a bit outdated. Excellent views from rooms and restaurant balcony. Conference facilities are very nice. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Game drives: much depends on ranger. Go with Dylan: knows so much and happily shares with guests. Pool is small does not attract people. Beware of animals especially snakes while walking around.

We felt truly looked after by the team at Tau during our four night stay a couple of weeks ago. The setting of the lodge and the quality of the rooms is wonderful and everyone, from the admin staff to the catering staff to the rangers did their utmost to make our visit very special. They gave my 9-year old...

I stayed 3 nights in Tau Lodge and spent a wonderful, unforgettable time there and I was sad to leave. Staff is very helpful, welcome and friendly, the cottages where comfortable and had all views of the waterhole where elephants and other animals came to drink and the safari drives where just phantasic (thank you Dylan)! We saw lots of...

My wife and I stayed at Tau for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute we spent there. The lodge has fantastic staff, including our excellent safari guide and skilled spa therapist. They catered brilliantly for my wife's dietary needs without fuss and the location is just breathtaking, we enjoyed Elephants bathing in the watering hole next to the lodge...

Beautiful safari lodge. The food and drinks were fabulous. The rooms were very spacious and overlooked the watering hole. The rangers were very knowledgeable and we managed to find many animals. I would definitely visit again.

We have stayed at Tau four times now, and each visit has been of consistently high quality. The game viewing in Madikwe is great, and we have always had excellent game rangers. The food is good, the service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Yes, it is a bigger lodge, and there are definitely more exclusive...
