For just a short 2-day stay with four game drives I saw an extraordinary number of animals. I loved the small, family-run atmosphere of Kambaku. I always felt safe and think the game drive experience was much inhanced by all the information provided by Ranger Nic.

I went to South Africa solo in March 2017 for a breather from a ton of stress I was facing at home. I fell in love with this lodge. It's in the middle of the African bush, but utilities are comparable to any hotel. There is no AC, but the rooms feel comfortable with the fans and they are clean....

Great Lodge strategically located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. I stayed in the Honeymoon suite and I definitely recommend it.. it has lots of privacy and fantastic view of the waterhole. Meals were phenomenal, high tea impressively singular and I will never forget that dinner.. lit by an african full moon and entertained by a thirsty hyena adventuring towards...

It is hard to write down just how completely amazing our stay and experience at Kambaku Safari Lodge was! I have worked in hotels for 15 years and everything about our stay completely blew me away! This was down to the fantastic service by the whole team lead by Catherine the manager. The genuine interest in guests and total love...

From the moment we arrived all the staff went above and beyond for us especially Ryno our tour guide for the 3 days. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and good fun. Eric our tracker was also unbelievable. The set up is really homely with all guests sharing communal breakfast and dinner which normally wouldn't be my bag but it seemed...

We were recommended to stay here and since it was not one of the most expensive lodges, we were a little unsure of what to find. Our transfer from the airport was late and we were the last to be collected, but once we arrived at Kambaku itself we were greeted warmly and with consideration regarding the distance travelled. Lodges...

We spent three nights at this fantastic lodge. We are a family of six with kids aged 5, 8, 11 and 13 and we all absolutely loved our stay. The welcoming when we arrived was amazing and very personal and the high level of service from all the staff members remained the same throughout our stay. The rooms were beautiful,...

After some trials and tribulations concerning our flight from Johannesburg, a flight that was cancelled after a wait of over 7 hours we teamed up with three American couples and completed our journey by hired mini bus, another six hours, we arrived to start our safari. The staff at Kambaku reserve were fantastic. In our five drives we saw and...

Wow Wee - what a wonderful place. The welcome, the staff, the Rangers and Trackers, the food, the drives, not so keen on the early starts but it is so worth it! Ryno and Moses have to be the best Ranger / Tracker team ever. How on earth Moses spotted hyena at a water hole I will never know and...

Arriving we had a great reception and experienced a very friendly welcome. Then it is explained there ia a no door lock policy at the lodge. That is crazy. My guests were very unnhappy. There is no keys available. The food was ok but a bad choiche. Chicken and mash potatoes for your first night at a game lodge. Very...
