I can hardly say enough good things about our experience at N'Kaya game lodge. The accommodation was spacious, with excellent wi-fi, good air-conditioning, and both a shower and a bathtub in our two-room cabin. The food was plentiful and delicious for breakfast, 'high tea', and dinner. The game drives were outstanding, and we were expertly guided to see some incredible... More

My wife and I are very savvy international travelers. We both agree that our time at this lodge is most likely the best four days of our life. I'm not joking. The staff, the service, the food, the cabin / rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms and the game drives were all just amazing. We booked through a travel... More

We were at N’Kaya the same time as Louisa (review below) and family and endorse all written 100%. They really are all the very best of hosts with Andres leading the way and Lene who provided us with the most sumptuous meals every day; the best ever dining from breakfast , high tea, evening meals and the braai – wonderful... It is almost impossible to put into words the amazing experience we all had as a family at N'Kaya Lodge; I shall try....We were dropped at the larger 5 star Waterside Lodge on arrival at Thornybush and awaited our transfer to N'kaya. We were collected by Andrew, a very quiet, gentle man who we discovered was to be our 'tracker'... More

While I had looked at the pictures online, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when my friends and I arrived at N'Kaya Lodge. Whatever I imagined, N'kaya far exceeded my expectations. N'kaya only has 4 rooms (which are absolutely beautiful) which made our stay very intimate. We were the only guests our first few days, which was amazing! Here... More

We were not supposed to stay here because we wanted a more luxurious lodge - Jackalberry. But East Cape Tours and Thornybush Reservation Department (Diane and Michelle Naidoo especially) were very incompetent dealing with our request for Jackalberry. We fully paid the 4 nights at Jackalberry and we received the confirmation voucher from Thornybush Reservation Department for our 4 nights... More

I stayed at N'kaya Lodge over Christmas. Nkaya is a little lodge comprising of four rooms. It is very homely and the couple who run the lodge, Lenai and Andre are a huge part of the reason why this lodge scores highly in my review. The suites at Nkaya are divided into two sections, the bedroom and the sitting area.... More

Have just found time to write this review as we traveled to N'kaya lodge back in July. What a great peaceful place to go see the big 5. We stayed here for two nights, 9th and 10th November and I thought this lodge was exceptional. To get there you have to drive yourself to the main lodge, which is quite exciting, especially when you spot your first giraffe - bizarre how easy it is to miss them! We were then collected by our tracker Andres who took us... More

The big sixth in this case, being the lodge. It was perfect. Really comfortable accommodation and so peaceful, with a rhythm to the drives and downtime that meant you couldn't do anything but relax and drift into African time.
