I just spent two nights at Tangala Private Camp, and I can't say enough wonderful things about the lodge staff, the guide/driver and our tracker. The food was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Game viewing was exceptional. What was a concern was the total lack of interest or attention by the host to one of the guests who appeared in distress...

That is most concerning. Thanks for alerting us. You have been privately messaged to find more details. So glad that the rest of the staff looked after you so well.

My husband and I had our first kiss in Kruger Park in 1985 and this was our first trip back. On the advise of a friend we spent this special anniversary at Tangala and it was perfect! Fantastic staff, amazing access to animals day and night, great food, and TOTAL relaxation! We could not have had a better experience. Thank...

Ah - there's only one thing greater than a guest who is having their first taste of the bush, and that's a guest who knows the bush well, loves it and STILL gets excited by all that Tangala is. So glad that we could add to your magical memories. Next time come back with the whole family - and share...

First thing to know: Tangala Private Camp does not have electricity! That said, this is probably one of the best compliments I can do to this lodge. If you are addicted to things like internet, wi-fi, Bluetooth, 4G, spa, fancy restaurants, shops, and all that sort of stuff, for sure you are in the wrong place, my friend! Otherwise, if...

Tangala is a private camp in the heart of the big Thornybush game reserve, where you almost have a guarantie to see the big five. Tangala is a 12 persons lodge. Five rooms - one room can accommodate four persons. In the daytime, when you not are on game drive, you will meet nyala, imp alas and other game peacefully...

We are so pleased that you visited us again - we find that no matter how many times one visits Tangala, each visit is as special and as unique. Your praise has been passed on to Tosha and the team - we hope to see you again next year!

Our family had a fantastic time, safaris were great, huts were authentic, best 24hours ever on holidays. Even has a black rhino. Staff were great and friendly. Very out of Africa . Very reasonably priced. Would have loved to have had longer there.

I want to go back! My daughter & I stayed for 2 nights at Tangala as part of a safari organized by On Track Safaris,UK. Tangala was definitely a highlight of our 2 weeks in South Africa. They were so very generous and helpful when we decided that we wanted separate tents (apparently I snore!). Meals were amazing, accommodations were...

I shoud have written this review long ago. If you like the bush then this place is tops. Spent 2 nights (May 2013) at this bush camp and WOW was it great! So rustic, no electricity, no fenced camp, paraffin lamps and hot water by gas geyser to shower. You want to get close to big game then this is...

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at Tangala. Comfy tent, with large beds. Huge shower. Food was excellent and great to be able to sit looking at the animals at the water hole just in front, and sitting out by the pool when a Nyala came for a drink. The game drives are great. Not rushing to see the big...

We all know that bigger isn't always better, but, in the case of Tangala, it's true. Since our last visit there 2 years ago, a few of the fences have been taken down, now enlarging the reserve considerably to include a much more interesting and varied terrain/landscape. This has resulted in game viewing opportunities being better than ever - though...
