This is an extraordinary place. The game drives with Grant and Simon were by far the best of our two week trip to Africa and never less than wonderful. We saw great wildlife and Grant was not only familiar with the wildlife but also the flora and fauna. Melanie, Grant and Melanie's staff and our wonderful server Glory made us...

Just completed our 3 day stay at the Game Lodge at Thornybush Game Reserve. We have really good things to say about our experience here. Firstly the reserve is aptly named; there are a lot of thorny trees and bushes we encountered on all of our game drives. Dodging some of these was probably our only physical exercise during the...

Comfortable, luxury, lodges, good food and service, drinks not too expensive. The Rangers and Trackers really make the stay unique (big mention for Jo and Alson) and include additional unexpected experiences, if weather permits, as well as...

The reviews are so good I was prepared to be a little let down. I won't be overly redundant but the service and the quality of people working here are extraordinary. From the moment we checked in we felt appreciated and welcome. The food is good but the experience is great. Noel is a true gentlemen and made sure our...

We have been to a few luxury game reserves before but the experience we had at ThornyBush blew all of those out of the water! What a truly amazing experience, from the time you step out of your arrival vehicle! The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The lodge is truly beautiful! Seeing as we had a child aged 9...

This was our second trip to South Africa and our third experience of a stay in a game reserve. Our first had been at "The Outpost" and "King's Camp" in September 2014; both different experiences but amazing stays. After a couple of suggestions from our travel agent, we decided on Thornybush Game Lodge this time, primarily for it location (situated...
