We saw all the big 5 special thanks to our ranger Mr. Cornie very knowledgable and our spotter Mr.Michael had a vision of a predator he can smell the animals from a distance...both of them were amazing and they took a great care of us...

Kapama River Lodge was an outstanding experience. We signed up as a post-cruise excursion, and could not be happier that we did. The Lodge is an open and airy building which blends with the natural surroundings; so much so that animals are easily visible and although we didn't see it apparently a kill was made in full view of those...

The Kapama River Lodge exceeded our expectations with just enough luxury for a safari. From IP who picked us up at the airport, to Daron that checked us in, to our housekeeper Gift, and our safari driver Shanae and scout Stanley, we were never disappointed. The food was great and the spa was amazing!!! The muffins at breakfast were delicious....

We did the evening game drive through Peak / Intrepid. The vehicle is open except for a canvas roof, and you have great opportunity to take unobstructed photos. We saw three of the Big 5 in the space of an hour. It can get quite cool at night time so don't forget your jacket. Ask for Siobhan if you can,...

We had an out of this world safari experience at Kapama. I would recommend it to anyone for a safari. An easy flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit airport and picked up by the rangers at the airport for transport to the lodge. The spa rooms at the River Lodge were large with wonderful accommodations. We had a lovely view...

Returned to Kapama River Lodge two years after our first visit in December 2013. Again we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, this time under the expert and enthusiastic care of Bryan our guide and Magnum our tracker. No effort was spared to ensure we saw "the big five" and for us the defining moment was viewing the leopard cub. What...

The suite, restaurant and lounge areas ere fantastic. Immaculate, great design and well-thought out. The food was also delicious and not too heavy, which was appreciated. If I had to pick areas to improve it would be 1. Ensure drivers really understand the expectations, priorities and possibly fears that guests have. Maybe match up groups for the drive according to...

We are locals to this wonderful bushveld area and travel to the Kruger Park very often. We are newlyweds and decided to go to Kapama for an extended honeymoon. All that was 5 star at the lodge was the friendliness of the staff and the game drive. Terrible buffet lunch and dinner. 15min into dinner some dishes were unavailable and...

We have spend 4 wonderful days in this charming luxery place. We have visited a lot of Privat Game Lodges in South Africe, but this place in something special. We came very close to the Big Five and many, many more of the wild animals. You could nearly touch some of them. We relaxed on the balcony by watching Imapala,...
