I could rate this much more than 5 stars. What an experience ! Placed admist the forest, this place defines luxury. The cottages were splendid and service even better. Extremely friendly and considerate staff gave us a personalised experience. The game drives were also great, we saw the big five. We went for 5 game drives and each one keep...

Our family of four rented two villas at Ivory Lodge in late August and we can't rave enough. The accommodations were spectacular and luxurious, the food was the absolute most delicious combination of gourmet and local, and our guide Dumay made this the trip of a lifetime. We were constantly in touch with the African wildlife between views of the...

Dear Mr. Anderson, Thank you for taking the time to post this response, although I regret the circumstances leading to your dissatisfaction and the obvious frustration you have felt at the lack of feedback from our management team. The setting was spectacular! Views of the river where animals enjoyed the coolness the river had to offer, were merely 100 meters or so away ! The staff was more than accomidating. Our butler always said "yes " ,the manager sorted out any problem that came up, our tracker and guide were knowledgable , professional and personable. The only thing that...

We stayed at the Lodge for 4 nights in early October. Our stay was a wonderful experience and the accommodation is outstanding. The service we experienced from all members of the Lion Sands team was considerate and caring, without being over the top. Our ranger, Neil, and tracker, Albert, deserve particular mention for their knowledge, friendliness and patience with our...

I am sorry I can give this only 5 stars as it deserves more. We had an incredible ranger, Neil, whose knowledge was encyclopedic. We learned so much from him. He definitely knew the reserve. Whenever we told him we wanted to see a certain animal, he knew where to go on the reserve. Sometimes things did not work out,...

Myself and my friend traveled to Ivory Lodge for 4 days and 3 nights in early October 2015. AMAZING! We were greeted by Tammy, the manager, with fresh, cold and scented facecloths to "freshen up" with (considering we had traveled for 19+ hours, nonstop). Immediately we went out on the afternoon game drive. What an experience! Lodging: our lodge was...
