We stayed here for 3 nights of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it here. We were very sad to leave!
We stayed in room 1 for 1 night, and room 7 (the 2 Bed Charsly Suite for 2 nights) - both were amazing. The rooms...More
During our first visit to Chitwa, we decided to break our ‘never return to the same place’ rule and celebrate our 20th anniversary there. With 20 months of anticipation, we arrived with very high expectations. Chitwa exceeded them on every level!

All I can say is Wow - just Wow! This being my first safari, I did not know what to expect. But this place astounded me and if I had expectations, I am certain they would have been far exceeded.

This is simply one of the best places we have stayed. Superb service, food, accommodation. Great wildlife and very skilled guides. We were there during winter which meant less vegetation and improved chance of good sightings.
The lodge is perfectly situated, however in need of an update and refresh! Service was great and our guide and tracker gave us a wonderful experience. We had special foods needs and they did an excellent job!
Our accommodations were disappointing.. We were in Villa...More

Summer months are very hot so please bring summer clothing with you. For the evenings I would suggest a warm jacket, light jersey (for the odd cooler days) and long pants. At least one pair of closed shoes for the evenings for when we have events in the bush. Sunscreen, a hat, swimming costume, mosquito repellant (although we do have at the lodge) is a must. Laundry doesn't have any restrictions and is collected in the morning and evening. Generally, if we don't have a rainy day, you should get your laundry back the same day. We do not have any dry cleaning facilities nearby so please take note of that when you select your clothing.
I hope that helps. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.
We look forward to meeting you.
