We stayed at two andBeyond lodges on our recent trip to the Greater Kruger area. The first lodge was Kirkman’s Kamp. As “safari newbies” we didn’t know what to expect but from the moment we were greeted by our Kholin at the airport we knew we were in good hands. The accommodations are very nice, the food is great (you...

Kirkman's Kamp has overexceeded all our expectations: Lovely cottage, absolutely wonderful staff, great food, more wildlife than we ever expected to see - truely amazing. There really is nothing negative to mention and we could have easily stayed a day or two longer. In the 4 days that we were at Kirkman's Camp we enjoyed every single minute. Gareth (our...

When we first arrived we thought our cottage could have used a little refurbishment but within five minutes we forgot all about our room and were immersed in our fabulous experience. Our Rangers and trackers were so knowledgeable and accomadating. On our first drive we saw baby hyenas playing within feet of our jeep and a lion killing a waterbuffalo....

It is very difficult to sum up our time at Kirkmans Camp. The whole experience was wonderful. From our arrival at the best airport ever- Skukuza airport, the short transfer to the camp in our safari jeep, the warmest welcome by the staff, the beautiful food, the incredible luxury accommodation , the best service...this doesn't even include the twice a...

Kirkman's Kamp was the third camp on my &beyond trip. It provided a nice ending to my safari travels. The main lodge is loaded with historical artifacts from an era gone by. There is so much to look at it's a bit of overload! The camp staff is helpful and friendly and our butler Sam was very attentive. We stayed...

We have been at Kirkman's Kamp for two nights in October 2016. Although we already had Safari experience, this lodge set new standards. The game drives are very informative and the Guides and Trackers are outstanding. The entire lodge team is experienced and well trained, which must be difficult to maintain on such high level. The food is outstanding, very...

This review will not completely express the sentiments of this location and staff. This historic camp brings you back to the 1920s with all the modern comforts. Rooms are large, clean and keep in theme with old school safari. Grounds overlook river (currenlty low with drought) but host several animals right outside your door including vervet monkeys (careful - little...

Kirkman's Kamp was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The staff of the camp is wonderful. They made you feel like family as soon as you walked off the transfer vehicle. I didn't want to leave. The food is amazing and animal siting are plentiful. If you want a quiet, peaceful place to stay, this is...

We were greeted by 4 staff members once we reached, all with massive genuine smiles on their faces. We got our own butler all thru our stay, Moses they call him but for us he was an angel. Our Ranger was Joel who gifted us the best safari experience over 3 days. Rooms are super beautiful with every necessary thing...

Unfortunately due to the drought in Africa there were Hippos dying in this area. The animals that are prey are weak and we saw set of four male lions that had killed a Cape Buffalo and then didn't even eat it. The Bohma meal (traditional African BBQ) was marginal at best.
