We have been very fortunate to have travelled quite a bit so when I say this is the best holiday we have ever had - I mean it! Africa is amazing. Sabi Sands - amazing. Idube Game Reserve, yep, you guessed it - amazing. We had the best time ever! We had arrived from another game lodge in Bolule and...

While not cheap, Idube is one of the exclusive lodges in Sabi Sand private reserve (there are about 35 in all, I think). Sure, you can save money by visiting the public (mostly free) areas of Kruger National Park but staying on the roads means you're likely to see a lot less. Here, it's a luxury resort with safari drives...

We stayed here in June 2016 - part of a 5 day deal: 2 days at Idube and 3 days at its sister camp of Lukimbi. Of the two resorts Idube had the slightly better viewing of game including all of the Big 5. We had the fantastic sight of a female leopard dragging a freshly killed impala a few...

This was an amazing safari experience. Our guide, Matt, went above and beyond to make sure we saw lots of neat stuff, as did our tracker, "the sheriff." We saw the big 5 on our first drive. The lodge staff was equally outstanding. The food was amazing at each meal. I would highly recommend this place.

What a perfect introduction to the South African bush! Every single person at Idube makes you feel like you're a member of their family -- their quiet, classy hospitality is so genuine, and they all appear to truly love what they do. The property is immaculate, they accommodate any dietary restriction or special request, and from the rangers to the...

The place is amazing, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our ranger and tracker were brilliant, we saw the Big 5 in 1 game drive. We were very-very close to both lions and leopards, that was the highlight of our trip. They took care of my girlfriend's gluten-free diet, the chef even baked her special bread. Our safari chalet...

Idube was perfect. Our guide Mike and our tracker Edweis (sp?) were amazing. They found us every animal there was to be seen. Both were very knowledgeable and fun to be around. They went above and beyond to make sure we saw the "Magnificent 7". The accommodations were lovely and the food was amazing. The entire staff made you feel...

Amazing Lodge in the Middle of Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The food was great! Wouldnt misstand in a star Restaurant, diner was served around a campfire when the weather was fine, great! We even got a private diner the last night for our honeymoon, very attentive. The staff did everything to make us feel at home! The game drives were...

Rob the Ranger was as amazing as always. Despite a serious drought, we saw amazing wildlife...the Big Five, of course. Also, hyena puppies--super cute! Hippos! Birds of prey. Lots of grazers--kudu, impala, etc. A crocodile or two. Fireflies highlighted some lovely sundowners by the river. The staff at this sweet lodge is caring and attentive. I enjoyed a (significant) birthday...

This was our second trip to S.Africa at this time of year. Idube was a fantastic experience. Matt and his staff warmly welcomed us and we spent 5 very special days seeing many fabulous animals in their natural habitat. If you love leopards this is definitely the place for you - but the Big 5 and many many others were...
