This was our first safari experience and trip to South Africa and we couldn't be more pleased with our stay at Arathusa. The staff and lodging are fantastic -- big rooms with great views (we stayed in the water facing rooms so we could see animals coming to drink water). We also had a shorter walk to the main lodge...

We had a fantastic time at Arathusa. Our ranger Jamie's knowledge was exceptional, he made every game drive and bush walk so interesting and Norman our tracker I'm sure had some sort of Jedi powers when he stopped a rather grumpy bull elephant just by putting his hand up!! We even tried to catch Jamie out once when we asked...

I arrived at Arathusa a little bit frazzled. Potholes and very up and down gravel in a small car and been aggressively hassled by kids on a very hot day had taken their toll on me! But the minute I arrived, that all disappeared. My bags were taken from my car to my room, I was shown around the lodge...

South Africa was our anniversary trip. The Arathusa Safari Lodge was simply the best. On our first day, we arrived for the afternoon game drive. What a treat, we saw the big five on our first trip our. As the rangers are communicating on the radio, reporting the spotting of certain animals, the adrenaline is pumping as the jeeps are...

After spending 5 days in the Kruger driving ourselves around, it was wonderful to arrive at this beautiful lodge - although a bit of a hairy drive on poor ( but being worked upon) roads to reach it. Tip - fly in - they have their own air strip. We had 'Waterbuck' room which was absolutely beautiful - gorgeous views...

We were a party of three couples and spent three idyllic days here. The rooms - overlooking the dried up waterhole - were luxurious and very comfortable. The weather was mixed - we arrived in the aftermath of a cyclone centred over Mozambique - so had some heavy rain showers that were good enough to start refilling the waterhole after...

Wild life was awesome and guide we had was excellent. Bush and location along with wildlife - all superb. As for the rest (rooms/food/service) ... average to pretty awful. On arriving were asked to unpack bags from car, not a big deal but have never ever been asked that on arriving at a game lodge. Was indicative of average to...

This was our first visit to a lodge in the north of Sabi Sands and it didn't disappoint. Londolozi is our all time favourite but trying to be a bit more frugal we opted for a lodge at probably half the cost. Unfortunately due to the drought the water in the dam opposite our room had dried up but that's...

I can´t stop thinking about my visit at Arathusa. Just want to go back. It was so amazing in every way. The lodgin itself was so nice and luxury, the food excellent and you really had everything you could possible need. The staff went out of their way to do new happenings every day with different places to eat and...

This was our first safari and we saw the big 5! Saw a lion kill and leopard kill in tree! Even saw a cheetah! Wonderful experience with tracker and Sean who is very knowledgeable but a tad smug! Food was just okay it got much better once the chef came back after days off. They obviously need two chefs! Our...
