Sometimes words are not enough to describe an experience. The lodge & room are gorgeous (we really liked the outdoor bathroom with a view). The staff is amazing. Chef Gift's food is really nice, also for vegetarians. The safaris and walks were perfect thanks to our ranger & spotter. And all the little surprises they organized...just incredible. And above all...

Just a little background my boyfriend and I accompanied my parents and we spent four nights at this amazing hotel. The hotel is small and intimate which I really liked. There is a watering hole that is frequently visited by elephants and other wildlife. I love that the hotel doesn't have a fence and that the wildlife can go through...

We started our 3 week SA holiday with a 4 night stay at Selati and what a fantastic experience. Our ranger (Kyle) and tracker (Mike) were excellent company and brilliant at their jobs. We were also so lucky to have met some really great guests staying at the lodge. The drives were so memorable seeing all you would wish to...

Tracker Mike and Ranger Kyle provided us with amazing safari viewing experiences - we saw the Big 5 in one day! Ranger Kyle even taught me a few camera tricks. I enjoyed the...

After traveling through Botswana, Zimbabwe & Zambia we ended up in the most incredible camp Sabi Sabi Selati. I'm not going to spend time describing all the details except to say - the best lodge, the best service and food/drinks and of course absolutely incredible safari (even if one has to get up at 5:30 am) - twice a day...

Everyone provided exemplary service from Gift, our chef, to Gus, our safari guide, to Ashleigh, the manager and all the staff. I should have done this sooner so I wouldn't forget their names because I'd like to name everyone we came in contact with. We were in South Africa for a 6 week trip for our 25th anniversary and these...

My wife and I have stayed at Selati five times since 2007. We are always looked after as if we are old friends. We left there yesterday after a weeks stay. The food cooked by the chef, Gift, is excellent and we always enjoy dinner near a log fire under the stars. Game viewing under the expert care of ranger...

My wife and I spent 4 lovely nights at the selati lodge. We returned after a 3 night stay in 2012. The lodge has a beautiful outlook and is extremely comfortable in its bushland setting. The staff are wonderful and despite the ongoing drought there was plenty to see. The chef whose name is Gift is very talented and the...

Selati CampRomance, intimacy, luxury and 5-Star service epitomise Selati Camp. A late 1800’s railway theme with authentic memorabilia evokes images of a time when life moved more slowly, more gently. Eight beautiful suites feature handmade beds draped with mosquito nets, soft linens and antiques. En-suite bathrooms (recently refurbished) have indoor and outdoor showers.
