The warm welcome by our guides Andrea and Innocent was a sign of an warm and exciting adventure that was going to turn out to be our best family holiday yet.

Three nights at this top of the line game reserve. Excellent accommodation with personalised serviced from dedicated staff. Fabulous game viewing with knowledgeable rangers and trackers. Particularly good for leopard sightings. Highly recommended.
Second time we've stayed here, this time at Founders Camp, and I thought it was beyond idyllic. The apartments are beautiful, and because you're up on stilts you can safely enjoy watching various antelope wander beneath you. Very much appreciated the plunge pool on the...More
Stayed here for 5 days as part of a photography group. Accommodations were spacious, but perhaps could use a refreshening which it turns out was going to be done as soon as our group left. Thatched ceilings and crack openings in the doors allowed for...More
From the moment you are greeted by Rob, the manager at Varty Camp, you are made to feel at home at Londolozi so much so that they even welcomed us into the staff clubroom when we wanted to watch the rugby one night - not...More

I didn’t take any malaria meds and I had no issues. That being said, our guide said that the mosquitoes had been bad lately. As long as you always use repellent you should be fine. We had some very cold rainy days

Be prepared for the morning game drives - they start at 5:30 and I agree with all other posts - it's chilly (but they provide the coziest blankets and hot water bottles)! Bring cap, scarf, gloves, warm coat you can layer underneath. Afternoon game drives are at 3:30 and although you'll go out in long sleeves and pants, once the sun sets you'll start layering back on (the sundowner G&Ts will help warm you up). The middays are glorious - I wore my bathing suit every afternoon after lunch. This was the most amazing time to go - zero mosquitos, beautiful days and wonderful cool nights. I can't say enough about this magical place and just describing it is making me tear up...

Hi TWilliams
It does depend on which airline you are travelling with. If you are flying via Federal Air straight onto our airstrip, the strict 20kg, soft bag, all-inclusive weight allowance applies. If you are flying into Skukuza Airport and getting a transfer to the lodge then you are allowed to bring in slightly more luggage in a harder suitcase, with wheels. Your booking agent or our reservation office will be able to advise exactly which airline you are flying with if you are unsure. I hope that this helps.
Warm regards,
Amanda
