We stayed in lodge suite, there was 11 of us, it was perfect for us, with full kitchen. We had a great view of the ski slope from our room. Good location to everything. Angela and Jeff where awesome hosts. We had someone who was not well and Angela was great to help. The kids went skiing and sledding everyday....

We stayed here for our family reunion and the location was the best part of our stay. They had accomodations for 9 of us. We were close to restaurants and shopping plus had a nice view of the mountains.

Pretty much sums it up in the title...the new managers are working to upgrade the rooms, and otherwise it's a comfortable 70's-type setup with a little bit of upgrading from the 80's :-) I'd stay there again-

Angela and Jeff are the new managers as of the summer of 2016. They are wonderfully kind and responsive to our needs. Jeff is a handyman, and Angela is a wealth of information. They gave us a 10% discount because we stayed longer than one day in August. We tidy-ed our own room, and just asked for toilet paper and...

We stayed here with my parents and everyone was so nice. Due to the altitude and lack of use our truck a diesel had problems starting when we got ready to leave. The hotel management was so nice while we waited for the truck to warm up enough to start that they opened our rooms back up for us to...

The room was a nice size but the housekeeping left a lot to be desired. We were there four days, only had our bed made once and housekeeping left a few towels one day. The room was never cleaned and the trash was not emptied. There was dried dog poop under the futon and we do not have a dog!...

The Ponderosa is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. There is a bus that will pick you up at the hotel and drop at the ski lift. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in town. I would stay here again. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

We were originally supposed to stay at the Alpine Lodge, but due to a water line break, we ended up booking here 3 hours before we arrived. We had a 1 bedroom "suite" with kitchen, living room, and fireplace. The room was nice, other than being dated, no complaints. Our AC/Heater did not work but we were comfortable. The windows...

I could give it a 2 given the price but considering Red River is a tourist place I'll go with the 3. I am very used to "rustic" but I thought the price was on the high side for the quality of the place. We visited July 7-9, so not ski season, and Red River did not seem that busy...

Who answers a business phone with an impatient "hello?" The rude employees here are also scamming guests with pets out of their $25 cash deposit, including me. We've been doing family reunions here for 15 years (we like the motel's layout), and while the room upgrades have been minimal, the staff's unprofessionalism has increased. I think my sunglasses were taken...

“All of the rooms face the parking lot. This is not a big property, so there isn't a ton of traffic. The lower level rooms are safe although the second floor may be a bit more quiet in my opinion.”
