This is a very basic, very old lodge with little to no extras. That being said - it was CLEAN, the beds were fairly comfy, and the LOCATION was perfect - which is all we really needed for this trip. 19 of us stayed over Christmas and had no issues. I should note: They don't clean your rooms, so you...

First off we were quite hesitant after all the neg reviews but come people!!! All the buildings in RR are old! Don't be so picky! We were pleasantly surprised. Nothing wrong with this place at all, especially for the price. Of course the beds aren't cushy five star but the down comforters, tons of pillows and clean sheets made for...

We decided to stay at Black Mountain Lodge due to proximity to ski lifts and also the restaurant. Two other families joined us for our school vacation. The rooms were terrible to say the least. The housekeeper (elderly man) changed the sheets before arrival but only took the used towels and that was it during our stay. The carpets were...

This place overall was great. We enjoyed our stay. Our bedroom connected walls with the skating rink so we hear music and kids slamming into the wall until about 9:30pm. We went into the playhouse but most of the video games were broken. The grill food was good too. It was a nice place to unwind with a drink and...

My family stayed in room no. 4 and then room no. 5 in the same visit. The only good thing about this place is its location next to the ski slopes. Rooms were not very clean. The carpet was threadbare and gross, and the floors squeaked. Walls were very thin, While in no. 4 we could hear every word of...

We stayed in the La Hacienda - We were a little iffy about our choice due to some reviews.. but after talking to the owners- decided to keep it! We could not be more thrilled with how it turned out. We had 3 couples, and had PLENTY of room, It was VERY clean and not to mention walking distance to...

Everything about this place was great. The rooms were nice, the service was great. The cafe had really good food and wasn't expensive. And, since I went there to go skiing, the best part was, I would finish skiing and ski to the bottom of the hill and it's right there. I don't have to walk a long way. I...

Location is great, but the unit was DISCUSTING (unit 2)! The shower curtain was more mold than plastic and had holes all over it, there were hairS (yes, multiple) in the bed sheets, the only seating for a "sleeps 6 unit" was a couch that had a broken leg, which also meant the pull out bed that was supposed to...

I found this place to be the best yet, for the price in Red River. The rooms are a little outdated but I have not found a place in Red River where this is not true. Yeah it got a little rowdy most nights but the cops were never there and by 11 I would say it was fairly quiet....

The suite is not what was expected by looking at the website. Not renovated and ond bedding. Very rundown. Bare unfinished floors in the living room and bathroom. Carpet has been pulled up and tack strips have been left behind. The room has three doors that you can’t secure. Perfect place for a Frat party, not the family. Pros: Close...

“Go for a larger unit than you think you need. One of the smaller units with 2 bedrooms would be ideal for a couple with one bedroom for your ski clothes. The living area in Unit 2 was too small for the 4 of us with a couch that seats 3 at most and additional folding chairs available in the closet. Also, that unit comes only with a microwave and hot plate. We would prefer to have a unit with a full kitchen as we try to cook some of our meals on these trips to avoid eating at a restaurant for every meal.”
