Just spent 3 days during the first week of March fishing with Corey. First day we left the river after about 4 hours as winds were strong, temperatures in the 20's, and some snow. Nevertheless, Corey put us on a good dozen trout of approx 22 inches. Next 2 days the weather improved, the fish count went up and the...

My friend Gary and I had another outstanding fishing trip with Marcus Rubbo the last two days in his drift boat. Together we have fished 3 times before this with Marcus and Gary has fished many more times with him the last 5-6 years. He is the best!! Knows the river, knows how to fish and is the nicest young...

We experienced an amazing few days fishing with Chris Taylor from Fisheads Lodge. Chris was more than a guide, he assisted us in all departments and at the same time taught us new fishing techniques - he really is a fantastic guide. The fishing was great - we were guided into fish in ever run, caught and lost many quality...

Helpful friendly staff. Good selection of Orvis products as well as all the flies that you will need for this river. Great website with an up to date fishing report for the San Juan. Rental service for fly rods, waders etc. Offers fly fishing guide service

MARCUS Rubbo was a terrific guide and an all around good guy. Have had many guided fly trips and he's at the top. Relaxed but works hard, friendly to everybody on the river. He gives guidance well. Tells great stories and clearly enjoys his job. It was my dad's 3rd trip with marcus and my first. we will both be...

The dinners served were very good with great portion size. The events were for a fishing tournament, Try the open face burger plate that comes in several sizes with some awesome fries. The service was lacking a bit maybe because the servers took to many smoke breaks outside? Our order got lost too so it took a while to get.

A dozen boats on the river but Chris took me to a place where we were completely alone all day. Site fishing dry flies to hundreds of fish. Caught 17" - 22" rainbows all day long. Been fishing for 20 years but learned so much from Chris about technical fishing, fish behavior and fly location in the water column. Throw...

Fisheads makes you feel like you're a star staying at the Ritz, but has none of the pretension that comes with fancy hotels. The amenities at this place are above-average for the area and the staff is SO friendly and accommodating. My uncle and I stayed here for 2 nights to do some fly fishing on the San Juan River....

Back from another trip to the San Juan River Valley and it was great. For the first time in 6 years the BOR did a high water flush and fishing was fantastic. There was hardly anyone there due to the danger of wading the high water. You could not get to most of the spots but you could hike to...

Just returned from a 3/2 package and WOW! The fishery itself is nearly unbelievable for the number and quality of (mostly) rainbows. Fished with Chris Jones and he was fantastic. Was able to effectively adjust to different levels of client skills and kept it fun ...and everyone catching fish. Even with somewhat challenging (high) water conditions Chris was able to...
