As history buffs, my daughter and I decided to stay in Lincoln and chose the Wortley for its story and its ambiance. The room was comfy, clean and ready for us, including our two dogs. We expected breakfast but were also treated to an impromptu gourmet dinner. Our hosts and their delightful family were beyond welcoming. The only negative? We... More

We had a wonderful visit to Lincoln, and Cathy and Vic were great hosts. Walked the town a couple of times, enjoying all of the history of Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War. In between walks, it was great to sit on the porch in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the sunshine and snacks we had... More

Just had a wonderful weekend in Lincoln, NM. We stayed at the Wortley Hotel. The innkeepers make us feel right at home. The rooms are great and the property is very scenic. We enjoyed all the festivities that were offered for Lincoln Days Weekend.

What a wonderful place! Very quaint rooms and free home cooked breakfast!! The owner was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We will go back for sure! The resident dog, Rascal, kept us company as we had dinner, picnic style on the covered deck, as there's nowhere to get dinner ( stopped on the way in... More

For years, we pass through Lincoln on our road trips and always try to stop and spend the night. The ambiance and history is fantastic. Going back to the wild west days of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett to the modern day times where things slow down for just a bit. See if you can conjure up some of... More

We were travelling with a couple who appreciated western lore, and the mention of the Wortley in the AAA guidebook was intriguing. When we booked a room for the night, we had no idea the treat that was in store for us. The warmth and hospitality and of the owners made our stay truly magical. When we did not find... More

A visit to Lincoln NM is to step back in time to where Billy the Kid roamed the area. Watching Young Guns movies 1 & 2 will set the stage for a visit there. Almost all of the original buildings are still there - even merchandise in the general store that was packed with care & put back in original... More

We tried to book a room but it was booked up. We did however stop in for lunch. Three of us had various types of burgers and one had a grilled chicken with bacon sandwich. All was good. We all had soft drinks too. The total bill was just over $34, and we all left stuffed. I would definitely recommend... More

This is a great place to stay when you are visiting Billy the Kid country. Lincoln is steeped in the outlaw history of the Lincoln County War and this place played its part in that history. It was the pace where Bob Olinger had his last meal before Billy shot him dead with his own shotgun across the street at... More

We had a nice stay at the Wortley. The host was really accommodating and we enjoyed talking with her. Breakfast was tasty. She did warn us that there was really no place to eat for dinner in town so we stopped at the supermarket and got ourselves a little cheese/cracker/hummus/etc picnic spread. It was fun to hang out on the... More
