Beautiful old hotel restored to her former glory with the necessary upgrades but still adhering to old bones as much as possible. Perfect position opposite the courthouse and center of goings on downtown. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for taaking the time to shae your recent experience. We aren't your typical cookie cutter hotel. Our property is full of history and so is the town. If you go back in history, the hotel was known as The Belle of the Southwest. We made some changes since then but it is a great place to stay. Parking is hard at times but back in the 1800's there wasn't a need for parking. But we are working with the City to try to change and improve that issue. We certainly hope you will return and remeber to follow us on Facebook as we remodel the Castaneda Hotel located near ther Amtrak station. We are due to open in the Spring

This hotel is absolutely amazing, especially when you read about all the history behind it and all the craftsmanship and local talent that went into renovating it. This place is just a slice of memorabelia when Las Vegas was in the height of its popularity (before the railroad

This is a great Historic Hotel with strong ties to the film industry. Make sure you know what your room has to offer. Ours overlooked a rooftop and a wall. 😐 Some of the rooms have descriptions of the doors of which famous person stayed and why. If that is important to you,

Thank you for taking the tgime to share your recent experience. It is best to call the hotel directly to ask about views. THis hotel was built in 1882 and unfortunately some of the rooms are located inside halls and don't have much of a view. Parking is limited but we do have numerous options, so once again it is best to call the hotel directly and speak to one of our highly trained front desk receptionists who will be able to answer any of your questions. We hope to see you again. Please follow us on Facebook as we renovate our sister hotel (Hotel Castaneda) due to open in Spring 2019

The only thing I could suggest would be to call the front desk. The Plaza view rooms are on the east face.

Don't remember a fridge but there was plenty of ice and the front desk would no doubt accomodate you. Loads of parking on the plaza and at the side and back. Don't miss out on staying here.

Room 310 in the Plaza is said to house the ghost of a fellow named Byron T. Mills. Some television series about ghosts referred to it years ago. Might be on YouTube.

They have free coffee and tea with fruit and sweet bread. But I highly recommend the breakfast in the hotel dining room. It is not free, but not expensive and it is fabulous. There is also a place at the end of the block named El Cantando? I think is the name. It is also very good home cooked family place that makes great breakfast.
