This is one of the most amazing lamb dishes I have ever had. When you cut into it there is a light crust and then it melts. Pesto, mint, craisens... Aaahh, mmmm!! I travel all over the US for work and this place is a must for farm to table meals. I'm in heaven not New Mexico. Who knew, in...

We stayed at the El Fidel in Sept. 2014 & I wrote a positive review (see below). We were in Las Vegas last Friday and returned there. At the check in desk I was told that they would accept cash only for a room. I agreed to this and was told that I needed to show my ID & credit...

Really attentive staff. I had the trout special. It was great. The only downside was the jack%$# sitting next to me. I feel bad for his wife and the other couple. I won't fault El Fidel for that though. Great food!

We spent the night in the El Fidel and it was wonderful! We paid $63.00 which included tax. The room was clean, the shower had great pressure and was hot. I admit the bed was a tad lumpy but overall not bad.

I made it as far as Las Vegas New Mexico in my detour to Denver due to a snowstorm, and decided to stop at the El Fidel to see if they had a room, which they did. It's a lovely, quaint, old hotel, and the restaurant is exceptionally good. VERY good value for money. I'm enjoying the stay, and will...

I live in the Elfidel hotel in Las Vegas New Mexico. A quaint, charming place to live or just spend a few days. Definitely not a cookie-cutter chain hotel. One thing to be aware of: on some travel sites the Plaza hotel in Las Vegas New Mexico is being reviewed but the photo shown is the Elfidel hotel in Las...

We stayed 2 nights in Sept. 2014. Room was reasonably priced, clean & comfortable. Beautiful, historic lobby with a friendly talking amazon parrot. Location is excellent, in center of town. Staff was friendly & helpful. I would stay there again.

We had planned to stay with friends in Las Vegas, New Mexico but that fell through so they kindly offered to book us a hotel. As it turned out, the weekend of the 18, 19 and 20th of October was homecoming weekend of the local college so everything in town was booked. We managed to get rooms at the Historic...

I stayed here in October and had no complaints. First of all, it was forty dollars. In light of this I had no expectations and just vague ideas of people having affairs there and so forth. However the reality is that this hotel was a lot of fun. NO, the rooms are not fantastic and it does take time for...

We stayed at the El Fidel in Feb 2012. We were falsely accused of stealing a blanket, and the owner charged my credit card a few days after we departed. When I called to see what the charge was for....the clerk advised a blanket was missing and we were charged for it. When I told her there must be some...

“Check for when the farmers market is as the market is almost behind the hotel and you can get some nice honey and wooden cooking utensils.”
