I just got back from a wonderful trip to New Mexico and a three night stay at the Casitas with two of my childhood friends. We appreciated the detailed information sent in the mail prior to our stay which provided directions from the main roads, to the dirt roads and to the Casitas. We were warmly greeted by Becky upon...

We just came back from 2 wonderful nights at Casitas de Gila. Still as amazing as before. They take such good care of the place and the visitors. We've been going about once a year, and will try to get up there more often. Thanks for having us and making this amazing experience possible!

Having driven a long way to get there (from Wisconsin) for over 10 years, we know they have a vision about how the place should be and we appreciate the extraordinary effort which sometime also means firmness that Mike and Becky take to preserve the ambience of their little corner of paradise. They're very experienced in the hospitality business and...

The Casita was cozy and comfortable and the property was beautiful. We looked over a creek at the bottom of a canyon where a half dozen mule deer played. (Seriously, it looked like a game of tag!) We were there very early spring so the fireplace was wonderful. Michael told stories of the history of the land and Becky gave...

This was our 3rd time staying at the Casitas and each time gets better. Lovely appointed casitas, fully furnished, stocked refrigerator and cabinet, outdoor grills, lovely vistas, hiking, horseback riding, doing nothing, outdoor hot tub - great at night! It's everything you want when you want to get away from it all.

From the moment we left the main road and headed 5 miles on a dirt road to get to this place, we new it would be unique! The hosts, Michael and Becky, are wonderful and knowledgable about the area. The 265 acre property is great for hikers, birders, astronomy buffs (no ambient light at night). Sadly, we could only stay...

Save your time, your money, and your patients. We were so looking forward to our night at Casita de Gila and are still recovering from the nasty feeling that lingers after our experience there. I only wish that my friend had read the review from the man with the "service dogs" before we had booked. Even then, if we had...

We regret that your experience at Casitas de Gila was not a positive one. We wish we had known when you reserved your casita that you would be traveling in a very large RV. With two dogs. The Rates and Policies page of our web site clearly explains that we are not able to accommodate pets at Casitas de Gila....

We spent three peaceful days here: hiking the trails on the over-200 acres of property, watching stars at night, looking for birds (we were a little early for the migration). No TV, no cell service. Our one-bedroom casita was very well equipped: great kitchen equipment, breakfast supplies, olive oil, and condiments for cooking. This is rugged country so bring your...

It was cloudy, no dazzling star display ~ and we'd missed the fall bird migration so just the usual winter birds ~ AND we enjoyed every moment of our stay anyway because of the perfection of this place. Michael and Becky, the owners, are delightful and welcomed us warmly. There were four of us staying in the 2-bedroom Sun/Moon Casita...

My family and I recently had the privilege to stay at Casitas de Gila while exploring southern New Mexico. The Casitas are stunning and the property is breathtaking. My children 9 and 11 enjoyed the property and peace just as much as my husband and I did. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay a few more...
