We spent 2 wonderful days at the Silver River Adobe Inn, it was just what we needed to end a 2 months sight seeing and generally enjoying the southwest.... David and Diana were a delight with his knowledge of the area.. and his directions for dinning and sight seeing...... a relaxful end to a great trip! Great breakfeast.... great stories........

Thank you for your gracious review. All who experience David's stories, knowledge of archaeology, geology and travel recommendations do understand that the B&B suits him. Diana listens from the kitchen adding a few stories on occasion. Thank you for sharing your travels and life story with us.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Silver River Adobe Inn. Very nice, private room, great breakfasts, lovely river just outside, sitting room with books and more books. Best of all was the personal travel advice (with directions, history and anecdotes) by the hosts. Very comfortable stay.

What are the possible words for saying that we are pleased you found David's expertise on traveling in our Four Corners Area to be of benefit to you. Our major joy as B&B hosts is to share the history, traveling advise and books relating to our area with our guests. Additionally, it is a joy to hear the life stories...

While we had a bit of trouble finding our way down to the Silver River Adobe Inn, what we found when we arrived was delightful. Our room was just perfect--lots of extras! Diane provided us with recommendations for dinner, which were excellent, and served a simple but healthy breakfast. If you're looking for something different from your standard hotel, this...

Thank you! It is true we are hidden away, one might say a gem only 2 2/1 miles to downtown, located on the bank of the San Juan River which holds 50% to 75% of New Mexico's surface flowing water and yet less than a quarter mile off of Main Street/Hwy 64. Our B&B also enjoys the wildlife of our...

Best part of the stay ... was the conversation with David at breakfast. He is so friendly, easy to talk with, and seems to know a little of every subject. Only wish I could have walked with him and their gorgeous dog along the river for more conversation time! Breakfast was wonderful. No problem finding this gem along the river....

David is a wealth of information on nearly any subject but most especially on the various destinations and routes for which our guests are asking for further details for their trip of the day. Diana often adds to the conversation with comments about books written about New Mexico and local history. Our dog, Caliner, does enjoy the attentions of guests...

Convenient location for us. The location of the suite overlooking the river is beautiful. It is hidden off the main highway, which is a plus. Thanks to Diana for surprising my wife with a message when we arrived at Silver River Adobe Inn. Great conversation over breakfast the next morning. I loved relaxing in the red leather chair in our...

My wife found this place after I insisted that I needed to actually visit the Four Corners region of our state. I was not expecting much - after all it is Farmington. Boy was I in for a surprise. The Silver River Adobe is run by a couple who have been doing their thing for over a quarter of a...

I smile as I read the comment: " after all it is Farmington". Farmington does have an industrial face but through the years has made many successful efforts to recognize that not only do we have the natural wonder of the three rivers, hence many potential opportunities for walking along the rivers to enjoy the wildlife especially the birds and...

The Silver Adobe Inn is indeed an oasis in Farmington. We stayed in the suite with the Animas River roaring below and enjoyed the trail behind the BnB to the river. The hosts were warm and delightful to talk with and we shared many common ideas. We were thankful for the kitchen in our suite as the breakfast, while tasty,...

Our San Juan River is only one of the many natural beauties of our area and certainly we are most grateful for the water in our high desert. Finding the exact amount of breakfast to provide any guest is a guessing game really. Our guests have a wide scope of eating desires and habits and the amount each one eats...

We stayed in a very large suite overlooking the river and we were greeted by Diana, our hostess. This is a very laid back and comfortable place to stay. One of the greatest charms are the owners who are happy to share stories and life experiences with you. They were planning a trip to Estonia during our visit which we...

Thank you! Our view of the San Juan River; nearly 100 year's of the MacDonald's time in Farmington (David's family); our 7,000 volume library; the time Diana spent as Director/Curator of the Farmington Museum; David's vast knowledge of the landscape, routes and geology; helps plus the life stories our guests share with us we then have stories to share.

Really comfortable room and dining room. Beautiful views of the river and nice walk just out the door. The hosts and their son were wonderfully interesting and I picked up all kinds of fascinating factoids. Diana recommended a wonderful Thai restaurant for dinner. Would definitely recommend the B & B.

Thank you for being gracious with your praises and for writing this review. Today we learned from our guests about "Group Homes" for the elderly which are not assisted living apartments, a shelter for homeless women in Albuquerque which requires that the women go to school, they are not allowed to work but to concentrate on rebuilding their lives; and...

Enjoyed our multi-night stay here. This is in a quiet area in northern New Mexico. There are 2 rooms attached to the main house plus a stand alone suite that has a kitchen (might have to check that out next time) and is roomier. Our room had a nice view of the river below (which carries a lot of the...

When I completed reading this review I felt, as I might if I had just been nominated for an Oscar. Thank you! Naturally, (pun) we cannot take credit for the river habitat, all of its beauty, music and the serenity that watching the river flow brings to one's soul. We also make note of the dinning room being “A room...
