We decided to get out of the hot summer days of Roswell and head to the cool pines of Cloudcroft for Labor Day so we booked our favorite room at the Pavilion for the summer concert special. As always the staff was wonderful, met us with welcoming smiles and the room was clean and beautiful and the weather was perfect....

We stayed one night at the Lodge over the Labor Day Weekend. It was a nostalgic trip for us because the last time we were there, we were accompanied by our daughter who passed away recently. It was also a bittersweet one as our oldest daughter and her husband were with us on this trip, which was in part to...

Let me start out with the positive: the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the hotel has a nice "antique" charm. Now the negative: the rooms are tiny, and the sofa bed in our room was damaged in a way that made it uncomfortable to sleep on. We tried the in-hotel restaurant, Rebecca's, for breakfast...

We've heard about The Lodge in Cloudcroft for years and were excited about our planned 2 day stay. We stayed during the off-peek to get a rate below $150. Upon arriving we were checked in by an overworked stressed-out clerk at the front desk. There was no loading/unloading area at the front of the hotel, only handicapped parking so we...

This property heartens back to a more genteel time. The property is grand and beautiful. It is situated in a great place in Cloudcroft. Just a short distance from the village. The room we had was appointed in a relatively "fussy" style (think, teddy bear on the bed). It was a small room, but had all the necessary items: in...

We stayed at The Lodge this week and found The Lodge to be very comfortable and relaxing. Our two children, ages 10 and 7, enjoyed playing chess in the game room and we all enjoyed going to the tower to see the surrounding areas. We ate in Rebecca's for breakfast and dinner and both meals were very good. Every area...

It smells so good outside. There is a beautiful little 9 hole golf course . Lots of trees and it is at the top of the mountain. It could be a little hard to breathe for flatlanders. The scenery is beautiful with a fish pond and wonderful views. The rooms are all furnished in antiques and each one is unique....

Four months ago I never heard of the Lodge Resort & Spa let alone Cloudcroft, New Mexico, where the lodge has been since 1899. While searching for possible stays in southern New Mexico we came across the Lodge. We are very glad that we did. The lodge was built by the former Alamogordo & Sacramento Railway and it quickly became...

The current Lodge (rebuilt in 1911) is an over 100 year old grande dame that's hanging in there despite the years of wear and tear dulling her former glory. A complete facelift isn't required - just a general makeover might do the trick. Location is still superb - at 9200' The Lodge commands a near Alpine vista. Pool, hot tub,...

We thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The staff was friendly and eager to help. We both enjoyed the spa and Maria and Robin were the best! I was here 42 years ago and I think the mattress has't been changed since then. It is time for an update. As you clientele gets older, more amenities are required. Still thoroughly enjoyed our...
