Views were beautiful, but accommodations were average/lodge is run down. My family and I like to be outside and there wasn't really an outdoor "hangout" area here. Luckily, the restaurant at the lodge wasn't crowded - so, we got take out from a BBQ place...More
We have stayed at the Lodge before and some of the points the other reviewers make are valid. Old hotels must be appreciated on their own terms but I agree that some money need to be allotted for maintenance and upgrades. Our room was clean...More
Throughout the years I had heard about the Lodge accommodations and history. My husband and I had the opportunity to stay over the weekend in celebration of our wedding anniversary and found the place quaint with an eclectic collection of old furniture. Sadly, the housekeeping...More

Not at all. The A/C is great and there are electrical outlets in more than one place in the room. It is an old hotel of course, built in 1899 but the plumbing and (thank God!) electrical systems are modern. We recharged our iPad, phones, etc. with no trouble beyond having to unplug a lamp on one occasion. By "old" expect quaint, not antiquated!

We stayed in a king room but it didn't have a view of much of anything except beautiful snow out the window. Really loved this place though. Lots of history and even a ghost. The room was adequate size too.
