What a wonderful place. Took a chance and booked this absolutely charming bed and breakfast. Older Hacienda type home. Our room was part of the main house but there are cute Casitas to rent. A queen bed with night stands on both side of the bed...a plus for all the paraphernalia we tend to o take with us on trips....

I was recently in the Chimayo area attending a family event. I decided that I wanted to stay the night in the area. I phoned Casa Escondida and luckily they had one room available. I booked the room and upon check in I was greeted by Belinda, the Inn Keeper, she gave me a tour of the common areas, dining...

I am Afraid to give up the secret. This is quiet peaceful place to stay. No traffic, no noise, no light pollution. We stayed three nights for the pilgrimage to Chimayo on Holy Week. Casa Escandida is the place to energize your spirit.

Aawww. Thank you so much. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and found it to be just what you needed to energize your spirit. While the "pilgrimage" only occurs once a year, the solitude and tranquility here is year-round. Our guests love that AND the proximity to the Santuario de Chimayo (the church) and to destinations like...

We could have just stayed and enjoyed the wonderful experiences inside and outside of the B&B--even the teen age grandkids would have been happy--but we also found Chimayo a great "way station" to what New Mexico has to offer. Obviously Santa Fe is close, but climbing the ladders into the ancient cliff dwellings at Bandalier and touring the "science stuff"...

My wife and I stayed at Casa Escondida on December 26th. We had a reservation but called while visiting a winery in Albuquerque to inquire on the check in time. The polite manager we spoke with told us since we hadn't specified a check in and wouldn't be there until after 4pm that we would arrive during the normal 4pm...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Yes, our regular, staffed check-in hours are 4 PM - 6 PM. However, we can gladly accommodate requests for either an early or a late check-in if preferred, as long as we know in advance. Because you had booked through a 3rd party and not directly with us, there was...

A tad hard to find off a side road in the Village of Chimayo. Happy to find a pet friendly B&B. Nice room but icy cold, switching to blistering hot shower until we ran the water for a while. Bracing effect, but typical for "out in the country". Nice breakfast in an attractive dining room. Inn keeper very helpful getting...

This is a lovely B&B in the heart of the New Mexico high country. Only 35 minutes from Santa Fe, yet you are in a beautiful rural setting. Belinda is a great host and the property is beautifully appointed and immaculate. Our room was very quiet and decorated simply, but in the mode of a country home in the SW....

So glad that you enjoyed your stay and it sounds like you enjoyed your meal at the Rancho de Chimayo as well (great, classic New Mexican cuisine). Excellent. We are open all year and remember that you can use the buy 1 night / get 1 free offer through the end of March for a return visit. We hope to...

Casa Escondida B&B offered a pleasant and traditional New Mexico style place to stay between Santa Fe and Taos. Service by owner and staff was excellent. Our room had 3 beds and an adobe style fireplace. Rooms were cleaned daily and bedding was excellent. The location is in the small community of Chimayo and somewhat difficult to find as very...

Thank you for your nice review. We loved having you! Finding Chimayo is easy but finding us in Chimayo is a little more of a challenge. Casa Escondida means the "hidden house" but once you find us, we really do provide a great, secluded location that also provides easy access to virtually all of the most desired destinations throughout northern...

We stayed for a couple nights in September and enjoyed the entire experience! We stayed in the Casita which is separated by a walkway from the main house. It was spacious and private feeling though very close to the dining area and kitchen. Also had it's own private deck facing away from the main house towards a field. Beautiful on...

So glad that you enjoyed your stay in our Casita. It does provide a little extra privacy and additional amenities such as the kitchenette, fireplace, deck, separate sitting room, etc. So glad that you got to enjoy the full moon rise from the deck during your stay. That's very cool! We have several nice hikes that are close by and...

Quiet, relaxing, and gorgeous! We loved our stay at Casa Escondida. The room was well appointed and cozy and breakfasts were delicious. It was so quiet and peaceful there, and we loved watching the sunrise over the mountains outside of our window. Better access to wifi in the rooms would be great, but honestly, I loved that we were forced...
