All the accom in Chama look like interesting places and as we pulled out in the morning, we both wished our itinerary would've allowed us to linger a while longer. And we drove the length of the main street a bazillion times going "what about this one?" "how 'bout here?" "this looks interesting, dear" finally getting to... "oh, crikey: just...

We were pleased with the cool weather and riverside view at the Spruce Lodge over the 4th of July weekend. The cabin we stayed in has a view of the Chama river out the window and was very clean, with a very nicely redone bathroom. Our cabin did not have AC which we were aware of and to be truthful...

Nothing fancy, and not child friendly, but the cabin was cute and clean but be prepared for not much room Lots of trees for shade and the rushing river is delightful to listen to. Prices are fair in comparison to other cabins. We had no airconditioning but didnt need it

I ended up having an unexpected long weekend away from work and decided to go to Chama for a spur of the moment adventure with my dog. I had been interested in Spruce Lodge for a while because of its very rustic appearance and location right by the river - and dog friendly, even for large dogs like mine! First,...

We recently stayed at the Spruce Lodge and enjoyed the stay. They were all very nice cabins. Ours had two queen beds, with a kitchen and table and chairs. It was very clean and the owner was friendly. We sat outside on our cabins front porch and talked to him. We also saw a deer while we were sitting outside....

Raining heavily, getting dark not much free...meaning no vacancy signs...this one was free. It was exactly what it is, a lodge to rest your head and get dry. Had a small kitchen, they found a wine bottle opener for us,a no the price was right. We just laughed it was just somehow so funny. Just wishing the service was a...

Nice place to stay right on the river. Very nice cabins. Owners were very accomodating. It was very quiet even though its right off the highway. Very close to town with a lot of restaurants and not far from the train.

Service was not intrusive. We arrived in a snowstorm and the Lodge was breathtaking. "Substantial" is the word to describe the renovations. Cheers! Please visit soon, and ask for cabin #7. There is a nice river and really cool taxidermy.

Great little cabin right on the river. Cabin was small and very basic, but it was spotlessly clean. And the price cannot be beat. Friendly owners and they left the keys in the door for us due to late arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean cabin! Nice that it was right on the river which was great for walking along. We had our young, little dog w/us (there was an extra charge of 10$ a night - that wasn't listed on their website, large dogs are 20$ a night). Very dog friendly in that they allowed us to leave him in his crate...

“These are great little cabins right on the Rio Chama river. We stayed in cabin 12 which is the closest to the river. No kitchen, but had a m/w and ref. Very quiet place with very accomodating owners. Cabins are in good shape and very clean. Nice big bathrooms. Cabins are close together, but when we stayed, there wasnt very many people there so it was nice.”

“If you want a full kitchen don't choose one of the tiny cabins, they have larger ones. But we had a small refrigerator and microwave and coffee pot.”
