Our stay was delightful. We benefited from the historical knowledge of Wendy and Bonsell, as well as the many available books in the library. Wendy's cooking was varied and delicious. The accommodations are terrific for a small town, low income setting with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay there again on a future visit to the Chama... More

Fifteen years in New Mexico and this was our 1st time on the infamous Cumbres Tolec Railroad. Shame on Us! We travelled Chama to Antonito by train and bused back to Chama. The stay at the B&B was nice but our room was just ok. The bed was too high and the in-room bath too small. My husband is 6'3"... More

This charming Bed and Breakfast is an excellent place to stay if you are going to experience the Chama-Toltec Train ride. The host and hostess are both docents on the train and have a wealth of information about the train and the local area and are very willing to share. Also the location is great as it is right across... More

Spent 3nights during Chama Days. Location across the entrance to train parking lot--we left our car at B&B, away from the flying cinders coming off the train. Wendy made different hot breakfasts each morning. Bonsall entertained us with his player piano skills. Both made sure we had plenty of information to enjoy our days in the Chama Area. Plan to... For the second year I have stayed at this quaint location run by a nice couple. Wendy was able to do 10 breakfasts in a row with only one repeat in that time. The rooms are very nice and furnished with period pieces. The building was originally the home of the local bank president.

Our stay was delightful. Wendy and Bonsill are gracious hosts and Wendy is an outstanding cook. Wendy goes out of her way to ensure guests enjoy themselves. It's an easy two block walk to train station from the B&B.The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the lack of air conditioning. Most of the year it wouldn't... More

This old Victorian house is well decorated and well maintained. The rooms and dining room are delightful, as well as the hosts Wendy and Bonsall, who will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Wendy is a great cook and Bonsall serves as a volunteer docent on the Chama Railroad as well as area's vet.... More

Wendy and 'Doc' were extremely nice. The rooms, furnished with their furniture are very comfortable and elegant. Wendy does a very good breakfast and tries to do a large variety of food so you could stay there a week and not get a repeat.

If you are going to Chama for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, then you want to stay in the Parlor Car B&B. For one thing, it is two short blocks to the Depot. More importantly, Wendy and Doc are Friends of the C&TSRR (Doc is a docent), and they are passionate about the train. You will learn all sorts... More

The accommodations, and especially the company of proprietors Wendy and Bonsall Johnson, were a delightful experience. A delicious breakfast followed a comfortable quiet night in a well-appointed room. We will be back again soon.
