If you are in Chama, NM you are there for the train ride. Dancing Wolf, however, may bring you back the next time you are in the area. The two rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed extremely comfortable, and the shower is total relaxation. Add to this an owner that is there to make your stay pleasant and comfortable and...

We were happily surprised when we were shown to our room overlooking the Chama train tracks. The room is furnished as if it is a guest room in ones home. It has every ammenity one would ask for including snacks and drinks.

My husband and I decided to take a road trip to Colorado to celebrate our 30th anniversary. While searching online for things to do and places to visit, we came across the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad in Chama, New Mexico. Deciding that we'd like to ride the train, we had to find a place to stay. Chama is a very...

We have stayed at Dancing Wolf every fall for the last four years. Jim has maintained a standard of excellence that approaches perfection. He is absolutely the most welcoming inn-keeper in existence. We always share Hoordeourves with him after a long day on the train. The position directly above the Cumbres and Toltec station always draws envious glances from passers-by....

We were very impressed with the comfort, style, and hospitality! The room is tastefully decorated and has impressive in-room amenities. Bedding and towels were very plush and inviting. The view of the railroad from the private balcony was a great place to sit and relax after my day of Advanced Engineering School on the railroad. The gift store on the...

What a find, an absolutely charming B&B adjacent to the landmark Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. We stayed here as an overnight between train rides. Location ultra convenient. There are two rooms available, both outstandingly appointed: ultra comfortable King beds, dish TV, audio player, snacks and a bar. Jim, our host, and little Gigi his furry hostess (who by the...

We were so pleased with the Dancing Wolf Resort -- tastefully decorated with a western theme, the room was warm and welcoming. The bath had a huge shower and was beautifully appointed. The room fridge was filled with goodies that were all included. We were going to ride the Cumbres & Tultec Railroad, so it was the perfect place to...

We and friends of ours stayed in the two (2) rooms available at Dancing Wolf and what an amazing place this is. The rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated and not the cookie cutter variety of room. It is evident a great deal of thought and resources were used to accomplish the pleasing decor. The snacks and refreshments were a...

My friends and I stayed in two rooms at the Dancing Wolf Resort and loved them! The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and full of complimentary goodies. Jim, the proprietor, was very friendly and accommodating. The Resort is conveniently located next to the train station. Each room has a private balcony, providing a very relaxing view of the station and...
