I had a large king size bedroom and living room with balcony overlooking the rice paddies and Mts. The bathroom was adequate but the tub/shower was streaked with dirt with a wet bath mat and sink dirty and it had to be cleaned while I was at dinner. They provide water to drink, hair dryer, towels, facecloth. The dining room...

We just spent three weeks travelling across Bhutan from Thimphu to Trashigang district. Both my wife and I used to teach in eastern Bhutan almost 30 years ago and this was an opportunity to revisit some of our "old haunts". Lingkhar Lodge is ideally situated to use as a base while exploring eastern Bhutan - it is a short drive...

The location is not very good but the view from the rooms, the restaurant is very good. It overlooks a working terrace rice field owned by the hotel themselves. There are numerous birds and all shapes, sizes and colors flying all over the hotel area in the morning, just sitting there hearing them sing is worth the stay. The very...

What a delight to finally have a lovely hotel in Trashing. I have been traveling Bhutan with Myths and Mountains for many years, and until now, Trashigang had nothing. Lingkhar is wonderful. The lodge is about 10km outside town, not far at all, on a hillside overlooking rice paddies, orchards and even an archery range. (Archery is Bhutan's national sport.)...

Trashigang is the easternmost town in Bhutan and you might expect it to be poorly served for good accommodation. This place was terrific! OK, it's a bit out of town on the road heading south, but it is set on a bonny hillside with fine views down the valley, and each room is half of a bungalow - we had...

My wife, son and I recently stayed three nights at the Lingkhar Lodge while on a visit to Bhutan. I can say that the lodge was an unexpected delight. It's location outside of town is stunning and quiet. Built on the family property of it's owner's, it overlooks it's own rice paddies, orchards, archery ground and forest. The buildings are...
