Breakfast was highly overpriced n spread was minimal.
Rooms are much better than any average indian four star but that ends there as maintenance is lacking. Hotel has many secret doors like Harry Potter Hogwarts!! One in our bathroom too 😜
. Location is beautiful. Staff are very very polite n helpful .

The property is well located and has a good swimming pool area.
Staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
The food served is good.
Cleanliness was the major issue with this property.
The property is old and can be said to be greatly maintained if they just work on the cleanliness.
To start, the Wi-Fi was incredibly poor, making it nearly impossible to connect and use the internet, which was a huge inconvenience during our stay. In addition to the internet problems, the TV service was equally terrible, with weak signals that made watching anything a frustrating experience. It felt ridiculous that both basic amenities like the internet and TV were practically unusable.
The breakfast menu was average at best, lacking variety and quality for a hotel of this standard. On top of that, the overall food menu was quite underwhelming and shockingly expensive, making dining at the hotel feel like a poor investment.
Another frustration was that they only provided a single complimentary water bottle upon arrival, and any additional bottles came at an extra cost. It’s disappointing and strange to experience this at a 4-star hotel.
Furthermore, the lack of basic bathroom amenities, like dental kits and other essential supplies, fell short of the expected standard. For a hotel that claims to be a 4-star property, the overall experience was lacking in ways that made our stay uncomfortable and not worth the price.
Even though its about 5 kms away from town & located in an isolated area nearer to the highway, it wasn't dissappointing. we had many surprises, starting from interesting design & decor inside & outside the hotel. Example of fine Bhutanese architecture found in abundence all over the hotel complex, it was really stunning & mesmerising experience.
More over the facilities were also too good. Stylish & service oriented front office & restaurant staff, spacious restaurant, quality food, nice & elegant lobby with free wi-fi, neat & well maintained rooms & swimming pool was an added advantage.
To have a special mention without fail, it was a very pleasurable moment to meet & share a pic with Ms.pem, co-owner of this beautiful property, who was restlessly roaming around the lobby assuring best services to the guests. special thanks to her.
So with all these varieties of memorable experiences, next day morning we left phuentosholing with a heavy heart.
Hope to visit again on a special trip in the near future.
Being a star hotel in this town, we were surprised to know that the restaurant was closed at 9.00pm, but some food was kept for the group of tourists whose tour package was booked by the Travel company, Cox & Kings, we were travelling with. Hopeless food, rubberised rotis, watery yellow dal. No vegetables. Even drinking water was to be asked for as the water filter is empty. Indifferent attitude of the waiters was added inconvenience to us. All these because no representative of Cox & Kings was accompanying us at that time !!
We felt that all these was the miscommunication between the travel company and the hotel, as our group is small.
Rooms were looking decent, but the switches for lights/fans, power points for plugging the mobile for charging are broken and one has to spend several minutes to make out which one is which, etc.
Somehow we managed to spend the night there, as we were to rush to immigation office early morning next day for getting visa for entering Bhutan proper.

"Please chose economy grade rooms. That building has elevator. The Delux rooms are in a different block and there is no elevator!!!"Read full review
