I went to this place with my wife, The ambience is nice, staff and services are adequate and on time. Food is good. Had no problem in check in. You can stay at this property without having entry permit. The only problem was it is little far from Pheuntsoling immigration office. They have bath tub in the bathroom and 24 x 7 running hot water. Only they didn't provide was bathroom sleepers and paper napkins on the table. I recommend this property to stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights.
The property is well located and has a good swimming pool area.
Staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
The food served is good.

Cleanliness was the major issue with this property.
The property is old and can be said to be greatly maintained if they just work on the cleanliness.

We stayed for one night in way to Paro. We had dinner and breakfast and on return we stopped over for Lunch. They did serve Indian Food which was reasonably good. Service was excellent. Rooms are large but facilities need upgrade. It has a well maintained swimming pool. Mostly used for transit and is okay for purpose. Plumbing needs to be redone as number rooms water supply was erratic

Our motorcyle tour group came here - service was good. Public areas incl pool were very clean and good. Room needed some maintenance. WiFi was good. Food was only average - not much imagination or variation.

Our small group of families & friends, got this hotel option as the last lap of our Bhutan tour. so before exiting we stayed here for a night.
Even though its about 5 kms away from town & located in an isolated area nearer to the highway, it wasn't dissappointing. we had many surprises, starting from interesting design & decor inside & outside the hotel. Example of fine Bhutanese architecture found in abundence all over the hotel complex, it was really stunning & mesmerising experience.
More over the facilities were also too good. Stylish & service oriented front office & restaurant staff, spacious restaurant, quality food, nice & elegant lobby with free wi-fi, neat & well maintained rooms & swimming pool was an added advantage.
To have a special mention without fail, it was a very pleasurable moment to meet & share a pic with Ms.pem, co-owner of this beautiful property, who was restlessly roaming around the lobby assuring best services to the guests. special thanks to her.
So with all these varieties of memorable experiences, next day morning we left phuentosholing with a heavy heart.
Hope to visit again on a special trip in the near future.

Stayed overnight on 21st May, 2017, after travelling whole day by air from Mumbai to Delhi, Delhi to Bagdogra, then by road (6 hours), Bagdogra to Phuntsholing. Reached this hotel night 9.30pm. This hotel is in the border of India and Bhutan and mainly used by tourists for overnight stay before getting visa for entering Bhutan.
Being a star hotel in this town, we were surprised to know that the restaurant was closed at 9.00pm, but some food was kept for the group of tourists whose tour package was booked by the Travel company, Cox & Kings, we were travelling with. Hopeless food, rubberised rotis, watery yellow dal. No vegetables. Even drinking water was to be asked for as the water filter is empty. Indifferent attitude of the waiters was added inconvenience to us. All these because no representative of Cox & Kings was accompanying us at that time !!
We felt that all these was the miscommunication between the travel company and the hotel, as our group is small.
Rooms were looking decent, but the switches for lights/fans, power points for plugging the mobile for charging are broken and one has to spend several minutes to make out which one is which, etc.
Somehow we managed to spend the night there, as we were to rush to immigation office early morning next day for getting visa for entering Bhutan proper.

Stayed in this hotel for our first night in Bhutan, which was ok but it would have been nicer if we had been closer to the town as there is nothing around or near this hotel and there was a massive building program going on which didn't disturb us but you had to drive through it to get to the hotel which was at the bottom of a unmade and very steep hill. We were the only guests in the hotel and the staff were very good. The hotel has a swimming pool with bar but not a massive selection on the drinks list and even less in stock. The food from the restaurant was basic but ok but a bit bland. The room was ok but had a damp patch on the bedroom wall which was a surprise considering the hotel was only 2 years old, the was very warm, beds were short if your over 6 ft tall. The breakfast again was ok.

Do not go to this hotel unless you have money to waste. Staff were indifferent and not helpful. The only answer the staff had to anything was a "NO". No complimentary breakfast - don't know why. Rooms were, however, clean and spacious and luxurious. The wifi signal vanished once we left the reception and went to our rooms.

It's new and clean and has a nice pool - bit antiseptic otherwise. We had a shower head and the water was warm but no shower curtain - bit odd! We did have a great swim in the pool - you have to keep asking for passwords to different wifi links but they worked well - good stopover spot going north or before the chaos of India just down the road

The hotel is a little far from the main city, about 5 kms away towards the highway. But you wouldn't feel the distance as its a really cozy place a little off the highway.
Very nicely maintained place with traditional Bhutanese architecture. The hotel has a nice Swimming pool (costumes compulsory), Wifi (only in the lobby and that too not very great) & Gym as well. The rooms are of decent size with nice interiors and good bathrooms.
Of all the hotels we stayed in Bhutan this was by far the best from amenities & services point of view. The hygiene was not that great, just doable. The service was awesome though, the staff was very courteous and would help arrange anything you ask of them. The masala tea is best here. Food at the restaurant is okay, not very tasty vegetarian food but that is a problem all over Bhutan.
We stayed here at our entry and at our exit from Bhutan. Nice place to start as well as end you journey. While in Phuntsholing do visit Kizom cafe at the main market, it has good coffees, cakes & pizzas.
