Apparently a very old, palacious, well beautifully decorated property with huge rooms and very large bathrooms, a little away from the main city area. Quality of food served in room service and breakfast was disappointing. Bathrooms wern't properly cleaned. Bathroom supplies need improvement.

Booked through make my trip. Rooms are quite large n beautiful , bathrooms large. No dental kit n slippers. but 101 is just infront of the common toilet in the lobby area which dampened the Air. It was bit smelly in the corridor from toilet.
Breakfast was highly overpriced n spread was minimal.
Rooms are much better than any average indian four star but that ends there as maintenance is lacking. Hotel has many secret doors like Harry Potter Hogwarts!! One in our bathroom too 😜
. Location is beautiful. Staff are very very polite n helpful .

I stayed here for 2 nights.
The property is well located and has a good swimming pool area.
Staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
The food served is good.

Cleanliness was the major issue with this property.
The property is old and can be said to be greatly maintained if they just work on the cleanliness.

The rooms at this hotel were well-designed, and the decor was impressive, but unfortunately, that’s where the positive aspects ended. Several issues left us feeling disappointed, especially considering this is supposed to be a 4-star property.

To start, the Wi-Fi was incredibly poor, making it nearly impossible to connect and use the internet, which was a huge inconvenience during our stay. In addition to the internet problems, the TV service was equally terrible, with weak signals that made watching anything a frustrating experience. It felt ridiculous that both basic amenities like the internet and TV were practically unusable.

The breakfast menu was average at best, lacking variety and quality for a hotel of this standard. On top of that, the overall food menu was quite underwhelming and shockingly expensive, making dining at the hotel feel like a poor investment.

Another frustration was that they only provided a single complimentary water bottle upon arrival, and any additional bottles came at an extra cost. It’s disappointing and strange to experience this at a 4-star hotel.

Furthermore, the lack of basic bathroom amenities, like dental kits and other essential supplies, fell short of the expected standard. For a hotel that claims to be a 4-star property, the overall experience was lacking in ways that made our stay uncomfortable and not worth the price.

I went to this place with my wife, The ambience is nice, staff and services are adequate and on time. Food is good. Had no problem in check in. You can stay at this property without having entry permit. The only problem was it is little far from Pheuntsoling immigration office. They have bath tub in the bathroom and 24 x 7 running hot water. Only they didn't provide was bathroom sleepers and paper napkins on the table. I recommend this property to stay.

We stayed for one night in way to Paro. We had dinner and breakfast and on return we stopped over for Lunch. They did serve Indian Food which was reasonably good. Service was excellent. Rooms are large but facilities need upgrade. It has a well maintained swimming pool. Mostly used for transit and is okay for purpose. Plumbing needs to be redone as number rooms water supply was erratic

Our small group of families & friends, got this hotel option as the last lap of our Bhutan tour. so before exiting we stayed here for a night.
Even though its about 5 kms away from town & located in an isolated area nearer to the highway, it wasn't dissappointing. we had many surprises, starting from interesting design & decor inside & outside the hotel. Example of fine Bhutanese architecture found in abundence all over the hotel complex, it was really stunning & mesmerising experience.
More over the facilities were also too good. Stylish & service oriented front office & restaurant staff, spacious restaurant, quality food, nice & elegant lobby with free wi-fi, neat & well maintained rooms & swimming pool was an added advantage.
To have a special mention without fail, it was a very pleasurable moment to meet & share a pic with Ms.pem, co-owner of this beautiful property, who was restlessly roaming around the lobby assuring best services to the guests. special thanks to her.
So with all these varieties of memorable experiences, next day morning we left phuentosholing with a heavy heart.
Hope to visit again on a special trip in the near future.

Stayed overnight on 21st May, 2017, after travelling whole day by air from Mumbai to Delhi, Delhi to Bagdogra, then by road (6 hours), Bagdogra to Phuntsholing. Reached this hotel night 9.30pm. This hotel is in the border of India and Bhutan and mainly used by tourists for overnight stay before getting visa for entering Bhutan.
Being a star hotel in this town, we were surprised to know that the restaurant was closed at 9.00pm, but some food was kept for the group of tourists whose tour package was booked by the Travel company, Cox & Kings, we were travelling with. Hopeless food, rubberised rotis, watery yellow dal. No vegetables. Even drinking water was to be asked for as the water filter is empty. Indifferent attitude of the waiters was added inconvenience to us. All these because no representative of Cox & Kings was accompanying us at that time !!
We felt that all these was the miscommunication between the travel company and the hotel, as our group is small.
Rooms were looking decent, but the switches for lights/fans, power points for plugging the mobile for charging are broken and one has to spend several minutes to make out which one is which, etc.
Somehow we managed to spend the night there, as we were to rush to immigation office early morning next day for getting visa for entering Bhutan proper.

Stayed in this hotel for our first night in Bhutan, which was ok but it would have been nicer if we had been closer to the town as there is nothing around or near this hotel and there was a massive building program going on which didn't disturb us but you had to drive through it to get to the hotel which was at the bottom of a unmade and very steep hill. We were the only guests in the hotel and the staff were very good. The hotel has a swimming pool with bar but not a massive selection on the drinks list and even less in stock. The food from the restaurant was basic but ok but a bit bland. The room was ok but had a damp patch on the bedroom wall which was a surprise considering the hotel was only 2 years old, the was very warm, beds were short if your over 6 ft tall. The breakfast again was ok.
